Robert Carlyle is such a good actor. When he's playing Rumplestiltskin his movements and posture are completely changed into something unnatural, it's not just his speech.
Did anyone else catch the bit where rumple appeared to Regina when she was having dinner and said "roasted swan? That's amusing. You'll get that later" obviously a reference to when Emma comes to storybrooke and Regina hates her hahaha
Something I loved, Rumpel: Love the dress. Cora: Royal brides have to be Snow White. Rumpel: When you see the future, there is irony every were. He's talking about Snow, I love it.
Well, swords (like other weapons) can hardly hurt him. And if it does, a hand movement is enough. He is always superior to his opponents, even in battle. Tricking him and forcing him to make certain decisions isn't easy, but Zelena manages to do it more than once...
My favorite scene will always be the part where he drinks the forgetting potion, smacks his mouth a couple times, looks at the wand like wtf, & then says “what the hell am I doing in here?” & just disappears all fast😂😂I was in tearssssss
Like he had better things to do instead of being in that room because he's too busy being a badass, which is why he disappeared from that room as quickly as possible. 😂
I love the line from the first episode of the current season, which Rumple asks Emma about Merida, who's Scottish like Robert Carlyle: "What's she saying? Her accent's a bit much, no?" *giggle*
Fave Rumple moments (might not be on order): His reaction when Belle's father calls him a beast. Belle: "my room??" Rumple: "well it sounds alot nicer than dungeon" Prince C: "my cape why??" Rumple: "it gets drafty in here" Rumple: "because he tried to steal from ME, you steal from the dark one you get skinned everyone knows that" Belle: " actually they don't" Rumple: well they will once they find the body" Past Rumple: "why haven't I killed him yet??" Future Hook: "well if it makes you feel any better it wasn't for lack of trying, lets say we bury the hatchet" Rumple: "yes but why not in your skull"
@@imThefirelfy For me it was actually a line from Mr. Gold (Same thing obviously), though somewhat distasteful. He was in the Underworld with Mila, who says "I'm supposed to be watching the kids." Only for Rumple to casually reply, "Well, they're dead, anyway." I just thought that was funny.
You forgot one of my favorite part,in season 3 episode 9 ,regina enters to gold's shop and tells him , regina:I need a child,gold and I need your help. Rumplestilskin/mr. Gold: well am flattered,but I am not interested.
DarthRushy finally someone understands what i'm talking about,snow prefers to be call by mary instead of her real name,does people call belle,lacey? No,so snow prefers to be call by the name her step-mother give her instead of the name her mother give her.
Cracking up the whole video. I love him, he's hilarious, yet dark and the same time. Very complex character. Robert Carlyle is amazing. They couldn't have picked anyone better. I love his laugh, his hand gestures, and hilarious lines. I was laughing so hard at 1:57 "Oh dear. Oh dearie, dearie, dear." So funny. My favorite part.
Robert Carlyle is a genius and how he is able to do Rumple and Mr Gold is amazing then you see him in another role. he can switch it with no problem. What a talent. when once upon a time goes off the air, i will look forward to watch for future work of this man. have seen many of his costars from here and other of his work and glad that they are getting their due.
While I think this is a good video, and certainly captures a lot of Rumple's funniest moments, the music was just annoying. It wasn't needed, and quite frankly, I don't know why you put it in the vid. It was quite distracting, and no offense, kind of took away from the video. The next time you make a video like this one, I would leave the music out of it.
Funny thing about seeing the future sometimes one risks changing thing's to the point it doesn't go as planned. Or that they're only able to see so far into the future just not the whole thing. It's kinda of a tricky thing future seeing.

I like this; your choice of clips was good. My only problem was the music was a little loud in certain parts to the point where I couldn't actually hear the lines. For instance, Rumple's reply to the Hatter. Otherwise, really good.
I really love this guy. Carlyle is a master actor. The sounds he makes and the way he speaks as Rumpelstiltskin is fucking amazing. I"d laughed so hard at him more times I can count. 2:53- 3:16 xDxDxD P.S. I love the music, so perfect for him hahah
At 1:52 does anyone remember him saying “Oh no, we can’t do that, he’s dead!” Instead of “That’s out of the question, he’s dead!” This is really bugging me.

Me too. I have to grin every time I hear it.. Robert has really created a fantastic Rumple. Bursting with self-confidence, selfish, often funny, but also deeply hurt, sad and lonely - what a variety of feelings, what a great performance! For me the most interesting character of the whole series.
