I've only recently started to delve deeper into Belle and Sebastian in the past couple of months, after being haunted by boy with the arab strap and lazy line painter jane for about a year, and was filled with joy when I began to discover the extent of their discography and the fact that they were still growing and creating as artists to this day. The timing of this release couldn't have synched up better with what I'm going through in my life right now. I thank google and their privacy dissolving tactics for letting me know that B&S had put out a new album about 12 hours ago. Listened to it a couple times over already, and I lost count how many repeats this particular song accumulated by now.

That has been my experience since getting into them with their second album release in the nineties. This album is a fine return to form. When I heard the talking at the end of the first song, it felt like an old friend.
