Belle and Sebastian - Dog On Wheels 

This is the first b&s song I ever heard...and it's funny but I remember hearing it and having this lovely stream-of-consciousness memory of a specific bus ride in Aberdeen, would have been 1981, I think...I was seven...we were coming home from the library and we'd picked up fish and chips and...I was eating the chips on the bus when I wasn't allowed to do so and...it was raining...early b&s always does that for me: it's timeless, has been since the time it was made. Lovely, absolutely lovely.

god, listening to all these eps, this, "3, 6, 9," & "This is Not a Modern Rock Song" I'm shot straight back into 1997, sitting up on my boyfriend-at-the-time's bed, just listening and pure-loving B&S, and loving being with him. I haven't listened to these eps from that year since we broke up, they're intertwined with so much in that relationship. It's been a LONG time, obviously, and lots of stuff has happened since, others have come and gone, but damn, this was like a time machine.

like many B&S songs, timeless, comes to mind. As a result, we are all blessed

Este tema pertenece a los comienzos tempranos de la banda, un aperitivo para lo que despues iba a venir. Quien nos lo iba a decir, con esas trompetas y esas grabaciones que aun sonando algo turbio, nos enloquecían de placer. Un temita melodico, como ellos son, pero por ser una de las primeras canciones que escuche de ellos no era nada esperado. Me gustó al momento. Cosas así no se pueden dejar pasar.
