'Belle' Star Gugu Mbatha-Raw is the Only British Actor Who's Never Done a Period Film

This movie was absolute perfection! It was incredibly moving and way more romantic than I expected initially.

This was a great depiction of Bells life I think. Great actresses/actors & a great story which I never knew about.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film. My initial reaction was that it was just another slave type movie with a slap or whipping scene tucked in it somewhere. To the contrary, Didi was dignified, vocal and stood up for herself. That was a relief and made this film pleasant to watch. There was no cringing. Unlike 12 years a slave. Which i refuse to see. Looking forward to more work from Amma!

terrific movie...wife and I just got back from eeing it and doing some research about it. Hauntingly beautiful music score coupled with a rich full story that's true, makes this a must see for all...now I want to see that painting in person!

omg it's Draco malfoy! just kidding. Tom Felton. I really loved this movie. I am thankful that I know this story because living in America we for some reason never talk about slavery In England. I also always wondered what life was like for biracial people back then . since blacks were absurdly considered 3/5 of people, what was a biracial child considered? 4/5 of a human? how stupid.

All of the actors were excellent, absolutely excellent. If you haven't seen it, go watch it.

for anyone wondering the movie is 90% fake, dido in real life didn't have wealth so half the movie couldn't even happened and then in real life John daviniere was a servant from another household another half of the movie also couldn't happened... and the minor detail also changed, Elizabeth is rich and her father visited her regularly at Kenwood after he was back from Ambasadorial job even the painting was changed in the movie. we knew these few fact for certain so intead of basing the movie off that, her real story was silenced and turned into fake Bridgerton
