Hello Friends, thank you for for stopping by! Please note that Chocolate Buttercream is appearing warm (at least on my devices) but it's actually a neutral leaning cool. The same applies to Toasted Walnut, xoxo Marlene
Just adding that without this review I never would have ordered as based on the swatch. Reviewers / influencers like yourselves are reason we can have any confidence at all when buying these expensive pieces online. 🎉
100%. I study wigs hard before I choose one. I only have 2 and on working on my third. I look at the adds, I read reviews and. look at photos people have sent in and then I do the most important part, I look at the videos you women model. I can tell so much more by the videos and so much each of you bring to help us see so much. My husband has dementia. Having wigs was on of the things I had on my list to help make my life easier so I can use my time dealing with the difficulties my precious husband has to deal with. Plus I can always look nicer for him and let's face it for myself. You do a great service for us. I haven't had to return the two I've bought and one interesting Ellen Wille got a lot of mixed reviews. The ad was fantastic but some of the photos and many comments left me very concerned and it was on the higher price end. it was you people modeling them that made me decide I still needed to go with it and I am thrilled with it. Now I'm interested in the new Belle Tress Lux collection Chloe. I have to wear lighter as I'm old but haven't yet greyed at 75 so I need blonde but I loved looking at it in the various colors for other reasons. thank you so much for what you do!
I have been watching several of these reviews with different ladies and I have to tell you, you are one of my favorites. You go through several wigs at a time and explain so clearly. I have not ordered a wig from any place other than QVC LOL, and they all get returned. I don't understand how come they don't offer better quality and more choices in wigs, and no wig grips at all. I just received the Toni brattin Suddenly Beautiful and while it appears to fit better in the plus size, securing it without a wig grip leaves me with zero confidence to wear out of the house. I am naturally a cooler tone brunette, not light or dark, medium I think. I am 66 and have grown my hair out so it's got lots of Silver which I love and get compliments but sometimes I want my natural solid brown hair. I do not want to color any longer. I really want to feel safe ordering online but fear hackers getting my debit info and cleaning my account out, I cannot afford that to happen. Do any of these Wig companies have a number to call to order where it's safer?
Thank you for the comparison, Marlene! This is really helpful!!! I love that they are showing us brunettes some love! We don’t all look smashing in blonde!
Hi Beautiful! Thank you so much for visiting! I'm so happy my video was helpful! No, we all don't look "smashing in blondes" and I'm one of those xoxo Marlene
Hi Lynn, I'm a natural brunette (off black was my color prior to all the grays). While I try to show as many colors as possible including greys, the majority of the wigs I review are brunettes. LOL, yes, reviewers love their blondes. xoxo Marlene
FINALLY A GOOD COLOR COMPARISON VIDEO! I know the blondes are a favorite but this is a great video showing the new color collection for the brondie fans. More please! Color is so hard to judge on those small swatches on the websites.
My Miu in Rich Dark Brown is being delivered any day now, so glad I chose that color, your review confirmed that, whew 😊 Toasted Walnut is another beauty to look forward to 🎉
Hi Beautiful! Thank you so much for stopping by! Please send me a pic! I'd love to see and hope you love it as much as do! Yes, Toasted Walnut is certainly one to have on the list. xoxo Marlene
Hi, thank you so much for visiting! I agree about picking out colors and how difficult it can be. I'm so happy to know you found my video helpful! xoxo Marlene
I'm so glad BelleTress created more brown shades. They don't have a huge variety of colors/shade ranges, like other brands on the market. Toffee Truffle, Chocolate and Mocha were the only options. I'm excited to try these! 🤩
I'm so glad they listened to the consumer. Rooted shades 2-6 were just way too dark for me and the knots were very pronounced at the hairline. There weren't more options in general for med-light brown rooted hair girls. I love Belle Tress hair styles, but stylists could never find a shade to match my skin tone and brows. So I would end up bypassing a Belle Tress wig for another brand. I'm glad they have more options now 😊
Hi Frances! I apologize for the late response but I was in Europe for the last two weeks and just got back last night. Sunkissed Blonde is one of my favorites too! xoxo Marlene
Thank you for the color comparison! Like others have said, it’s so hard to choose a color based on those little squares! And brunette shades made this even more special!
Thank you so much, Shirley! It really is difficult to choose based on the swatches. I loved being able to compare these beautiful brunettes. xoxo Marlene
I did it. I finally broke down and ordered this in the sun kissed almond. I hope I like it. I know I can return it for another color but I hope I don’t have too
I'm so happy to see these new shades in the Belle Tress line! I'm not fond of the dark root on Brown Sugar Sweet Cream so I have been shopping Raquel Welch instead. I might try Belle Tress again with these new options!
Hi Deana, thank you so much! I'm happy to know my video was helpful. Sunkissed is perhaps my favorite. I also saw it on Kathy in Miu and thought it was gorgeous. xoxo Marlene
Wow! I love the sun kissed almond. I want to go lighter than my toffee truffle so this may fit the bill! Hmm, hard decision now with the hazelnut syrup! Tough decision Marlene! Thanks for all these beautiful options. Love your review! 😍
Hi Vivian, thank you for stopping by. If you'd like to go lighter either color will work; if you'd like hazelnut syrup, get it soon. This color is being discontinued. xoxo Marlene
Hi Marlene! I am a wig newbie still looking for the perfect wig for my first, but I have been reading about & researching everything there is to know about them, joining Facebook groups and getting advice from the people in them, and especially watching a TON of RU-vid videos! I have always been a very light, ashy/platinum blonde and a creamy, "toe-head" blonde as a little girl, but I have always been curious to know what I would look like as a brunette like my sister and that is what I have found to be one of the many benefits that wigs can offer! So, on my journey, I wanted to also include a brunette, but I have zero clue on what shade of one I would like so, I am very happy and VERY thankful that you put together, as always, another AMAZING video that compares ALL of these new brunettes side by side and even more awesome, from darkest to lightest [with OUTDOOR pictures, as always] so that I/we don't have to watch all separate videos for each shade and then try and remember what the last color looked like!! 😊 I am SO thankful for your channel!! 🥰♥ Stacie in the Youngstown, Ohio area 💕
Well, after watching this, I would definitely buy the Sunkissed Almond because of all the blonde highlights!!! It won't be such a drastic change compared to the other brunettes! Thank YOU again, very much! 💕
Hi Stacie, thank you so much for stopping by! I'm happy to know my videos are helpful. I think it's a great idea to watch many videos since we all have different skin tones and use different lighting. Make sure that when you're ordering a color you want to try, do so where the retailer has a good return policy. Another avenue is to look through the Open Box section; while wigs from Open Box can't be returned, you'll be able to find some great prices. I also think it's a great idea to join some FB groups. Look for those that are private groups since there are admins in these groups that don't allow any nonsense; make sure to answer the questions when asking to join. The great thing about these groups is that admins are pretty knowledgable so you can ask questions as well as see the many members posting their pictures. If you're looking for other brands for brunettes, I have some videos (3, I think) where I show brunettes from lightest to darkest. xoxo Marlene
I've had an opportunity to purchase one or another of these colors from Shirley's several times, even had purchased Hazelnut Syrup and changed my mind before it was fulfilled, so I was able to get my money back. I am a die-hard Mocha With Cream girl. It is the closet to my natural color, besides that super dark root, but it is a trade off I am willing to make to have the unique color that is Mocha With Cream. I am so thankful that you took the time to do this Marlene, because now I see the brunettes available for the Lux Collection, I do not think i will be investing in any.
Hi Kelly, thank you so much for visiting! I'm so happy my video was helpful. I'm always glad to know when my videos are helpful to viewers whether it's to help decide which to get or if it's just not for you. I'm not here to sell, but rather help the viewers. xoxo Marlene
Hi Lori, thank you so much for stopping by! I know! I was hoping they'd add these colors to the other BT wigs. Keep an eye out for Shirley's Wig Party on Sunday's and Wig Out Wednesday. She does some incredible deals during those events. I purchased my Lauren that I showed in this video for less than most BT go for (around $200). xoxo Marlene
@@MarlenesWigChatStudio Thank you for this information Marlene. I have purchased many wigs from Shirley- she is the best. In addition to being a nice and honest person, her customer service is excellent as well as her speedy delivery and prices. However, I have been in wig jail for a few months and have not joined her parties in a while since they are too tempting. Therefore, I assumed the prices of the Luxe collection were $500 plus. Since I mostly wear HH wigs, I prefer to spend less than $250 on a synthetic wig. I will watch the next WOW. I love the sunkissed Almond color. Thanks!!!
You're welcome! Yes, the prices on the Lux are around $500 or just slightly below. I was able to get it at a great price one night she was offering them. Hope she does the same again soon. xoxo
You are rockstar for doing this! Thank you so much! I like the two ends of the spectrum - Rich Chocolate Brown and Toasted Walnut - because they are blended. The others are too stripey - similar to how I used to color my hair 10 yrs ago. How do you find the parting space? Is it dense like other Belle Tress styles? Also would you consider Brown Sugar Sweet Cream neutral or cool? Wondering how it compares to Toasted Walnut.
Hi Beautiful! Thank so much for stopping by! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I found the parting was perfect on the Sunkissed Almond (you can see it in the video) but a bit dense in Rich Chocolate Brown; however, it could be because the Rich Chocolate Brown is on loan (from Shirley's) and I didn't want to mess with it too much. If they are all like the Sunkiss Almond, then the parting is better than some of my other BT. I think Brown Sugar Sweet Cream is a Neutral leaning cool. The difference between BSSC and Toasted Walnut is that BSSC is a blend of dark, med, & light brown with some blonde while Toasted Walnut is a blend of just the brown & the blonde. Nevertheless, while I haven't put them side by side, they seem to be fairly close. xoxo Marlene
Hi Marlene! I’m enjoying the reviews on the new collections and colors. Which color is your favorite. I did want to come to Ft Lauderdale to see your brother’s show but ended up back in the hospital. It’s getting kind of old now. I hope you had fun, thanks for the information on the new. Brunettes! 🤗❤️
Hi Beautiful! Thank you for visiting! I think I have two favorites: Sunkiss Almond and Toasted Walnut. I'm so sorry you were back in the hospital; I hope you're on the mend. Opening gallery night was spectacular with a great turn out! xoxo Marlene
My brother is William Braemer; his galleries are Art Fusion Galleries in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and St Pete's. You can go to the website and see some of the art. He has his own art & sculptures which are in all three galleries and also has a permanent exhibition in Florence. Besides his own art, he also represents new and emerging artists. There are no prints or giclees; all are original paintings and sculptures. xo Marlene
Good Morning, First of all, let me say you are the best reviewer for the Belle Tress line. Can you do a review for Shaken Oatmilk Blonde R? I’m not finding a review that’s informative enough on the color. I’m trying to decide between that color and the Toasted Walnut-R. You’re awesome!!!
Hi Teresa! I apologize for the late response but I was in Europe for the last 15 days and just got back last night. I love Shaken Oatmilk. It's my new favorite blonde! xoxo Marlene
You are just the best!!! So hard to decide!!! Are these colors only in the lux line??? Its about time to have some highlights on brunettes instead of just reds!!! Thank you!!! :)
Hi Leeanne! Thank you so much for stopping by! Yes, these colors are only in the Lux Collection, the City Collection will have it's own set of colors and the colors that we have come to know and love are only in the Cafe Collection. xoxo Marlene
Haven't heard of the city collection till now......when will you be showing those colors???@@MarlenesWigChatStudio It says softer lace? I hope better, wider more natural parts! Imroved hairlines as well because I adore BT fibers and the caps are sooo comfy for me!!!
Leeanne, the new City Collection hasn't been released yet. This collection unlike the Lux won't have hand-tied caps and therefore will have a lower price point. The City Collection will have unique colors not found in the Cafe or Lux Collection. I have reviewed Chloe and Isabel from the Lux Collection and have Lauren. I didn't find the lace any different than the ones in the Cafe line. The part on Chloe seem to be the most natural, but that may not be fair for me to say since I have only one sample of Lauren and Isabel and have 4 of Chloe. As soon as the City styles are released, I should have a few to review. BT says the City are still in production but should be shipping soon. I've seen some styles, and they are beautiful! xoxo Marlene
Hi. Love your videos! I am a beginner and having trouble making wigs look natural on me. Do you ever pluck the hairline in the lace front or the part on wigs to make them more realistic looking? For example, on Raquel Welsh wigs?
Hi, thank you for stopping by and thank you for letting me know you enjoy my videos. Honestly, in 5 years of wearing wigs, I have never plucked a lace front or part. My suggestion is to make sure the wig is on properly (not too far forward or back), then get your hands in the wig to separate the fibers and style it to make it your own. I'm sure they look natural on you. Since you're starting out, it may be that you're not accustomed to seeing yourself wwearing wigs. Give yourself time and take baby steps. Wear it for a few hours each day around the house, style it differently, add a headband or barrette, then in a few days take a walk in the mall, and slowly you'll see that it really does look natural. xoxo Marlene
I have blue eyes and I find that more people educating us have brown eyes. I have a medium complexion and my hair is turning silver but I do not want to go silver because of thinning. I would be happy finding the perfect wig. I believe I look better in cool tones but do not like the greenish cast. Can you help? Thank you!
I have Chloe in Hazelnut Syrup. To me, the color looks a lot like Raquel Welch's Iced Cafe Latte, except it has some goldish colored fibers and is less blended. To me, it doesn't seem warm colored but more neutral. (Do wig colors vary on different orders?) My Chloe can even have a grayish/brown color in some lighting. My Chloe does not look like the color samples provided by Belle Tress at all. On my computer, it looks very close to Marlene's review in this video. The fibers are soft. The style is cute (even on a not so fancy person as myself). I struggle with wigs not fitting well on the top so they have a wiggy look because they fit high on my head. I have had to use clips and combs to make them sit right on my head. This is the first wig that I have owned that does not have that problem. It seems like natural hair at the scalp for that reason. Marlene...thanks for the time you take in making wig related videos. They are very helpful!
Hi Barbara, thank you so much for visiting. Manufacturers say we have to allow up to a 15% variance on color as well as with curl patterns. I believe this is due to wigs being made at various locations which can contribute to the variance. Not what we like to hear, but this is how it is. I have found this to be the case with SS Cappuccino from Raquel Welch. The color seems to vary from very dark to very light among the different styles but also the same style. I'm happy to hear that that Chloe has fit you well. It really is a beautiful style. xoxo Marlene
I really want a warm highlighted rooted color. I've bought mocha cream and although I love the warm tones, I want it lighter and more chunky dramatic highlights. Which one would you suggest?
Hi Linda, thank you for stopping by! I'm not a retailer. I sell some wigs I review and don't keep for myself. Unfortunately, I am not set up to ship outside the US; however, Shirley's Wig Shoppe does ship to the UK. Please contact their customer service, and they'll be able to help you. xoxo Marlene
This video was super helpful!.. but.. the color i think i would like (on another belle tres wigmodel) 'toasted walnut' seems to be unavailable for me or it has a different name maybe, beacause i am european and sometimes have a different name... Can anyone tell me if this is so and what's the name for me to choose?
Hi Debby, I'm happy to know my video was helpful. I apologize, but I don't know if Toasted Walnut has a different name in EU. Perhaps contact the retailer where you purchase your wigs and ask if it can be ordered for you. xoxo Marlene
I love that you shared the new brunettes. I mostly wear blondes. Will you do a similar review about the new blondes? Or is their another reviewer that will show those as well as you do?
Hi Doreen, thank you so much for visiting! I will not being doing a comparison on the blondes, I'm sorry. Honestly, I just don't know enough about the blonde shades to be able to provide all the info plus I don't think I'd do them much justice. I'm not certain if there will be another reviewer comparing the blondes. If there is, I'll be sure to mention it in a future video. xoxo Marlene
Thank you so much, Doreen! I do the occasional blondes, but I'm just not comfortable with a comparison such as this one. Hope you have a great weekend! xoxo
Hi Darlene, thank you for stopping by! Yes, Madison will be released in October. Here's the description for Macadamia: Macadamia Latte-R (6/12/22+8.): this is the lightest of the 3 and based on the color code, it'll be the closest to Brown Sugar Sweet Cream (12/22+ 8.). The difference is Macadamia Latte has some dark brown (6) in the blend we don't see in Brown Sugar Sweet Cream. I have not seen nor heard of a Macadamia Nut Rooted; just Macadamia Latte-R. If I do, I'll let you know. I'll tag you in Frannie's group on my post where I showed & described all 3 new colors. xoxo Marlene
Thank you for your video! I’ve been searching for a video on the Lauren wig specifically, and found yours. I’ve never worn a wig, but I’m most concerned with it looking super natural. I like the length of the Lauren, but wonder if the Chloe looks more natural? Can you give me your honest opinion? If I’m more concerned with natural than length should I go for Chloe? Or does the Lauren look just as natural? I really appreciate your opinion
Hi Beautiful, I have a video on Chloe and one on Lauren that went up a little while ago. Honestly, since both these styles are from the same collection and both have the same exact cap and lace, you can't go wrong with either one. It really comes down to the length. One does not appear more natural than the other. If you have a moment, take a look at both my videos. I show close up of both. xoxo Marlene
Hi Joanne, thank you for visiting! Yes, they are just as good. Most Belle Tress are light density and minimal if any permatease. However, unlike Jon Renau and Ellen Wille which have styles in both regular synthetic fibers and heat friendly synthetics, all Belle Tress styles are heat friendly. xoxo Marlene
Hi KS, thank you for stopping by. In the City & Lux collections there are no colors similar/close to Iced Java or Off Black. None of the brunettes in these two collections are as dark plus the darkest browns are highlighted which we don't see on Iced Java & Off Black. In the Cafe Collection, there's Ginger which is a blend of brown and the darkest brown (no red in the color) and Coffee Without Cream which is soft black blended with black and a hint of warmth created by a warm brown. However, I've had both colors and don't feel either one is as soft/cool as the ones from RW xoxo Marlene
Hi Brenda, thank you for visiting. These colors are available on all the styles in the Lux collection. If you go to Shirley's Wig Shoppe, search for BT Lux Collection, and you'll see the styles available. xoxo Marlene
Hi Marie, thank you for stopping by. I didn't show the cap construction because this is a color comparison video rather than a wig review. I have shown the Luxe Cap construction on all the Belle Tress Luxe styles that I have reviewed. xoxo Marlene
These are pretty but I don't consider them burnettes except the first one. It seems these companies only have 4s and 6s levels to work with when it comes to brunettes. I guess my feelings are if this is a plastic thing why use hair dye color number only and not just make some new true brunettes? I am an artist so I don't use just two colors to make varieties of a color. I guess I just don't understand the process. I wish it was more creative with the brunettes instead of it just being another blond color added to the 4 and 6s. Thanks for doing this it was very informative.
Hi Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm sorry, I really don't know why these are the colors they use for brunettes. Thank you for letting me know my video was informative. xoxo Marlene
Agree! I haven't been blond since I was 2, & haven't done blond highlights since I was in my 40's. My gosh! That makes me sound ancient. I like a rich medium brown with some auburn & dark brown added for dimension. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much for visiting, Karen. Yes, you are correct. Thankfully, Belle Tress provides color codes unlike a few manufacturers that don't and it's a guessing game. Color names don't provide the true picture of a color. xoxo Marlene
Hi, I am not married and therefore not a housewife nor have I ever been a housewife; I'm certainly not rich. If you are referring to the right hand ring I am wearing, that was a gift from my mother when I earned my doctoral degree. xoxo Marlene
@@MarlenesWigChatStudio oh hunny, I just meant the wigs made you *appear* to be a rich housewife 😂 it’s a compliment, hence why the Real Housewives have been on t.v for 17+ years ❤️
oh, thank you! I apologize. Honestly, sometimes I receive some pretty shady comments that I don't even know if it's a compliment or not. I truly apologize for taking it the wrong way and appreciate you getting back to me to let me know. Thank you! 💜💜💜
A gay man with a Joan Rivers sense of humor? I LOVE it! Can I come hang out with you? Thank you so much for your understanding! It means lots! Hugs and kisses right back at ya! xoxo Marlene
Hi, thank you for visiting. The reason why they may be out of stock is due to the manufacturer producing a certain number; many wearers order the wig even though it's out of stock so when the new production is ready, those that have placed their order will be the first to receive the wigs. It's been my experience that if I really want a wig in a certain color, it's best to order even though it may be out of stock. That way I'll receive the wig before it runs out again. I hope this makes sense. xoxo Marlene
