Hi Aaron, thanks for the review! Couldn't see this question asked below so here we go... Do you reckon it's possible to keep a small number of coins in the Slim Sleeve? Maybe in the secondary cards pocket?
My first minimal wallet, I bought the wallet but still stretched out to some obscene number of cards. It was freeing when you try to get under 10 cards. I'm currently at 8. Regardless of the wallet its great to trim down your edc to actually what you need, not what you needed 10 years ago lol
@@millieguitarcrasher you shouldn't... But before you could load a lot of things on your phone you had all these loyalty cards or gift cards or multiple credit cards just because you could... I actually have another wallet that just stays in my car and has things in it I only need in the car. And you definitely aren't stupid, just the world changes fast, but the constanza wallet was definitely a real Phenomenon lol
@@millieguitarcrasher ha no worries dude, more than 10 cards would be EXTREME overkill to me as well, but I know some friends who carry 30 cards with them (many of which are business cards and gift cards)
I would argue that durable leather is more eco-friendly than easily worn down "eco" materials that will require replacing sooner and therefore more waste.
This channel is really going to blow up in 2021. Production value is so high, you do a great job. I'd noticed you started appearing in the algorithm every day on my homepage which caused me to click on the videos and ultimately subscribe. I am sure that is happening elsewhere too. Keep up with the great videos. I'm a big fan of EDC videos, would be fun to see what yours would be in a future video.
I’ve had the Note Sleeve for five years and love it. My older one isn’t RFID protected, which is great for me, so I can use it for transit and hotel key cards when traveling without having to remove them from the wallet (I put them in the slot in the cash area, so they face the outside). Why do you prefer RFID protection in wallets?
But I believe most cards in hotels have a different frequency compared to high frequency cards like Visa cards. So hotel cards could be scanned but I'm not sure if there are exceptions.
Eco-friendly is a marketing jargon used for chrome tan leather that doesn’t pollute as much as regular chrome tan leather does. Their leather is nothing special although it’s also not bad necessarily. Personally I use vegetable tanned leather which naturally produces pretty much no pollution when compared to even the cleanest chromium tanneries as even the cleanest ones pollute quite a lot and the dirtier ones pollute a lot. I use full grain vegetable tan leather on the wallets I make which is far more expensive than chrome tan leather but will age beautifully and look better with time as opposed to CRIMETOWN leather which just ends up degrading overtime. Also the method in which they make the pockets it’s white leather crafters call “the lazy man’s pockets”. There are good wallets for the price but you can get something much higher end made of full grain vegetable tan leather for the same price or a bit more made of actually eco friendly leather.
Love your channel, I really appreciate when items such as, pens, wallets of all kinds, knives, watches and key ring items! Keep up the great work, I really appreciate your work, this is Alan, GREETINGS from Riverside in Southern California, God Bless you! Alan
This camera angle is not suited for review like this, either top-down or you point the camera at the thing. People want to see the product, not you (no offense)
I'm a bit torn between those. Now I know Heft is more determined by the content than the wallet but I'm still a bit stumped by them being equally thick according to official figures. Is the note sleeve really as thin as the slim sleeve when empty?
@@Nomads.Nation really? I'd have thought without the extra compartments and with practical ybeing one slab of leather the sleeve slim woudl be significantly slimmer. THanks for the response. guess I'll go with the note sleeve then though because not having to fold cash is a bit of a plus for me and if it doesn't really cost as much thickness as I feared...
I love all this minimalist idea of wallets, but the folding bills part breaks me, I just can’t stand crumpled bills. I love em in good shape, I guess I will have to stick to my long dad -wallet until new solution come out, and hey, you are in HK?
Hey Jeremy! Totally get where you are coming from - I think the bellboy note is a great solution tho as it’s still minimalist and you don’t have to fold the bills. And yup! We are HK based! Yourself?
I am something of a wallet collector. I picked up a lightly used note sleeve a couple of weeks ago and found it more functional than most minimalist wallets, with easy access to basically all the cards I need to carry, and plenty of capacity for cash, coins or an emergency key, and even business cards.. I can't say it is my favorite for EDC since it actually is more capacity than i actually need, but I could see it as a go to travel wallet with the RFID, all that cash carrying capacity and hidden compartments. Yet still slim enough to carry in the front pocket.
Good to hear! I’ve reviewed a bunch of wallets at this point and the Note Sleeve is still one of the best (but agreed - a bit to big for my needs as well)
Hey Joleen, my pleasure! The wallet I used in this review is an orange color which doesn’t seem to be available on their site right now. Colors come and go depending on what materials are in stock. Hope that helps :)
This was excellent for I am deciding between the two...I enjoyed this, yet you may want to take a deep dive into rfid...nothing "sweet" about it. Technology has advanced beyond it...In short, it is no longer a concern, and truth be told, never really was such.
Another great video, man... Even I don't intent to buy none of those wallets, I watch nevertheless to support the channel... Hoping to see KP duffle and nomatic 6L sling review.
hi dude , woudl you like to help me to answer which better bellroy note sleeve or apex slim slevee, we know apex slim sleeve is equesl with slim sleeve just differentiation with magnetic only and pre molded
Wow...its my first time seeing you in a wallet review 😊 nice one...more wallet reviews to come in the future as I'm a wallet fanatic as well 😁 and used to own lots of them (like coach and Micheal korrs) 😁 but trying to sold most of them because I want to be more practical and minimalist 😊 Love Bellroy by the way 🥰
Thanks for the love Brenda! This is one of the few NON-backpack reviews we've done - and the response has been great so far! More wallet reviews to come from us (but maybe not Coach and Michael Kohrs 😂)
@@Nomads.Nation 🤣 can't help laughing too much with your last line...anyways, more wallet reviews guys...looking forward to that...always a big fan here!!! 👏🥰
@@Nomads.Nation Hey Arron! I just realised that I missed your reply when I was recalling your channel. I am local and I am living around Prince Edward where I saw many of your shooting took place! What a surprise. Actually do you have time later the day? I want to buy you a coffee maybe at the Alchemist Cafe and have a quick chat. :))
Great video, Aaron and Tav! I don’t currently need a new minimalist wallet, but I appreciate Bellroy as a company and their ethical work, and like their Classic Backpack v2.
