Ahhhhh, the belt was on the cogged drive pulley. (Not a smooth section of the crank). I was looking at the pulley on the front of the crank, that you used for the vacuum pump. That just tells me it happened (the complete break of the 🍭), after the engine quit rotating, or it definitely would have pulled the pump into the crank trigger wheel as the belt wound up, the way the belt was around the pump behind the pulley. Glad at least you went with the stronger billet one over the cast one though, since you had 2 choices thanks to friends!

that bracket has huge loads at 6k+ rpm ,that flexible will be a problem sooner than later with belt wear and jump off completely.

Just a thought, can you put a bolt in the fuel pump plate to the motor plate that way its triangulated directly to the plate and pump support.

@fun fun well, I did indeed watch the entire video. He talked about a support of the motor plate , frame side , to the fuel pump brace . If he said what I suggested then indeed I missed it, and it's my error.

Very flimsy design. That fuel pump is basically just hanging by a thread.

While I agree i looks flimsy most drysump pumps are mounted similar. And I have never seen one broken. And a 3 or 4stage pump consumes more power than a fuel pump.
