Appreciate how straightforward you are with the info. Made it a point to watch your entire series of videos and will definitely be hitting you up for belts and clutching. 👍
Thanks for the informative video Todd. I’ve talked to you on email before and I have that “Pos secondary” on my ‘15 900s. I know it’s not the best but all I do is rock crawl and I’m literally never in high, have ace reduction coupled with ranger low gear, + mines been fine but I can’t stand the jerky starts. I’ll check the belt to make sure it sits right in the secondary but if it’s the primary do you have a vid showing the causes + fixes?
WE have one called how to troubleshoot a primary and another called how to troubleshoot a secondary. primary normally not worth working on and your secondary sure is not
Thank you for another informative video sir. My general is my first SxS ever. Watching your videos has been a big help to me, as I’m the newbie that doesn’t know anything about these machines. The advice and tips you send out are very helpful and received sir. Thanks again!
Great video! You said turbos are different…I have a Polaris pro xp4. Where should the belt sit on the secondary? Should the belt ribs still be above the clutch rim?
HI. Polaris Ranger 500 4x4 2018. What could be the reason the engine shuts off when I stopped driving . Starting again is long. Primary clutch was renovated. Thank you in advance.
I have a 2012 rzr ranger 800 ho. I just replaced the primary clutch. The belt is sitting to high in the secondary clutch. The belt is tight on both clutches. I don't think it is loose enough to disengage. When i try to shift oit of park the gears grind. Is there any way to adjust the clutches so the belt is not so tight when the engine is not running?
Don't remember the brand. The belt is so tight I don't know how it could ever disengage. The belt is also new, and almost 1/4" wider then the one I removed.
If i mash it secondary clutch lets belt in to quik like spring weak its upgraded performance both are but may not be on correct setting does it have adjystment on it 2012 400 ho sportsman
Two reasons for this, primary is not opening or the secondary is not closing all the way, if belt is tight then primary if loose then secondary most likely
@@Hunterworks thanks much sir for confirming my thoughts. The primary is absolutely cherry, but I won't lie...I was lazy and never bkew out the secondary when the season started, it's got some miles on it so I have only myself to blame. Great videos sir, been watching your tips and tricks for a while! Keep'em coming☝
