These rollers made such a HUGE improvement on my 21 xp1000. Smoother clutch engagement, snappier acceleration, no more back-shifting lag or belt slapping. Why Polaris doesn’t include these from the factory is beyond stupid. Worth every penny.
Burton Ford sorry about the previous post. I installed the rollers in the secondary and ir really made a difference also installed a Hunterworks belt on a 2016 900 S Thanks Todd
Thanks for the great videos on working on the secondary clutch. It took me less than 15 minutes to complete the upgrades to it. I was able to grab the exact tools and save time.
I bought a 2016 Polaris 900 trail with 280 miles June 2021 I found a hunterworks and based on the recommendation I checked the clutch and ordered pucks. With only 600 miles on it I found significant wear just as Todd describes. Also installed the Hunterworks belt and immediately noticed a smoother performance no more jerky starts. I now trust him and his products! I'm a newbie and appreciate the help!
Picked up a set of rollers last week for my 2017. Dealt with Larry and he was on the ball. Even though I called late in the day he managed to get them out the door that day. Only took two days to get them in my hands. Install was a snap, my secondary had very little wear, making things even easier. This video, and the others, sure helped ... thanks Todd.
Great helpful video thank you. Can you tell me what would cause secondary to wobble . Input shaft on trans is straight and turns true. Bike is 2013 sportsman 850 xp. Thank you
my 09 rzr 800 grinds when shifting. I aligned the belt and replaced the primary clutch bearing. the belt is centered on the primary but the sheaves still contact the sides of the belt so the secondary clutch is turning even at idle. Whats wrong
If both sides are touching then something keeping the clutch from opening all the way, I can't tell you specifically what is causing that, dirty or bad rollers maybe
Great Videos and Awesome Service. These guys really dial the information down so a first timer can get it. I appreciate the emails Todd. Buy from this guy.
I just took my cover off to inspect and my rollers are totally shot (flat spotted almost all the way through). I'm ordering new parts from your site. I want to ask though... can worn rollers make the clutch noisy under power? Mine seems to rattle at high RPM. I may just order the complete secondary clutch. Can I get the complete secondary for my 2016 XP 1000?
Yes they can make the noise but most times that is the primary. You can't order a complete secondary helix and all from our site, only 17 model. The helix is the same 17- 19 so you would use yours if you wanted or a get a clutch kit which has it.
I have a 2019 rzr 1000 s 4 seater it have a clutch upgrade and a tune in the pass ive have it up to 90 plus mph with plenty more to go now im bouncing of the rev limiter at 65 could this be cause of the square pucks in the secondary?? I dont think they shop changes the secondary just the primarily clutch thanks
I have a 2014 rzr 800s I'm on my 3rd belt in a year I've changed the primary clutch but it still has a roaring sound when I drive it what could this sound be and the cause of so many belt breaks
Is the rod on the puller or press a 1/2 inch or a 3/8 inch all thread? I wish you audio was better or your voice louder, had to turn up volume all the way and your still hard to hear and understand you.
I like very much your videos. Kindly question: 2016 rzr turbo secondary clutch will fit to non turbo 2014 rzr 1000? I'm wondering about shaft mounts and alignment - plastic cover its not a problem.
You didn't say 2 or 4 seat but the Dalton kits we have on www.hunterworks.com You can also email me for advice on it, todd@hunterworks.com I will answer monday
@@Hunterworks hey Todd we spoke long ago while I was setting up my first RZR 800. I am currently overhauling a 900 trail and converting it to an S model. I it's a 2015-2016 I was about to order the rollers but I need to confirm the build date first
@@wrenchology922 no you just need to send a pic of your secondary to me todd@hunterworks.com The 15 model we have rollers for is the 15 trail with power steering, it has the EBS secondary so it gets our 08-15 rollers. if it has the other secondary, best to get the better EBS style from us
Hunterworks Inc. it’s a high speed squeal, goes away with power or when I let out of it......but when driving regular speed it really squeals like a trump hater.....
@@Hunterworks thank you for the response. I am brand-new to sxs and CVT’s, coming from dirt bikes. It’s taking some getting used to. One thing I’m concerned about is the turbos are being recalled for their clutches exploding. Mine has the turbo clutch, but isn’t under recall. Same parts, but not recalled? Wondering how concerned I should be.
So I have purchased stuff from you Todd. Why the flop to Polaris? Yamaha to dependable to make a living. 😂. Your swap to selling Polaris parts must be setting you up for retirement
We still sell yamaha parts, same ones as always and fixing to release the X2 clutching, Polaris is just the #1 selling UTV and you have to make and sell parts for it to survive
