About Beltane/Bealtaine
Beltane, the pagan May Day fire festival, is held halfway between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. It represents the peak of spring and the beginning of summer. Life is bursting with potent fertility at this point in the Wheel of the Year, and the potential becomes conception.
As Beltane is the Great Wedding of the Goddess and the God, it is a popular time for handfastings (pagan weddings). The maypole is a familiar image of May Day and Beltane, the pole, often made from birch and inserted into the Earth, representing the potency of the God, and the ring of flowers at the top of the maypole representing the fertile Goddess.
I use sound, design, animation, and a lot of imagination to create immersive ambient experiences that help you escape from the real world. The Dead of Night features original and unique ambient soundscapes that focus on the spooky, the magical, and the mysterious. Thanks for liking, subscribing and commenting.
