Ben Affleck - Argo Interview with Tribute

Ben Affleck goes behind the camera and also stars in "Argo," which tells the story of six State department employees who escaped the U.S. Embassy siege in Tehran in 1979 by taking refuge at the home of the Canadian ambassador. CIA agent Tony Mendez (Affleck) devised a plan to rescue them, pretending that he and the six refugees were members of a Canadian movie crew scouting desert locations in Iran for a sci-fi flick.
Tribute.ca spoke with Ben in Los Angeles about his passion for the project, his gratitude towards Canada, how his kids really felt about the facial hair he grew for the role, and his next project, Terrence Malick's "To the Wonder."

Wow, this interview shows how much Ben Affleck is devoted to filmmaking and every single thing involved about making a film, and it also shows how good of a per son he is. I just almost forgot about "Daredevil" while watching this.

To Mattyelle1: yes, in fact it does. There are a few minutes at the start of the movie dedicated to give context, where they explain the events that led to the revolution and the hostages situation. It seemed quite objective to me, although I am not an expert in that part of history. In a few interviews Ben has explained how they have tried to also show the Iranian side (sorry, don't remember which interviews now)

Fabulous movie! Way to go, Ben! Keep up the great work. It's only sad that Foreign Service and Border Patrol personnel haven't fared very well in recent years... Very sad!

Daredevil was the director's fault ,not Ben's, watch the directors cut , anyway it was a bad film, nothing to do with Ben's acting

History states 90% Effort was Canadian, 10% American. The movie sates 90% effort was American, 10% was Canadian. this movie is just an attention grab for self-American glorification.

Yeah, it is "Tarahna", or ""Trahna" like "Pirahna", even "Tor-on-noh" or "Tronnoh". Only assholes from the U.S. or geek interviewesses, who claim to be "born and bred' in Tor-ON-TOH pronounce it that way. Shame on Ben Affleck - shame on Hollywood!
