Sir, I keep trying to get my drummer to play this song, but he just bitches that it's too hard because of all of the double bass (yes, he is a lazy drummer). It doesn't sound to me like you are doing any double bass here, yet you pull this song off very effectively. Do I just have trashed out guitar player ears, or are you in fact not doing any double bass?

Correct sometimes when I'm burnt out or tired I'll cheat during the lead solo "stops" with a double kick but usually its just a double hit on my one bass drum with one foot if that makes sense. This song doesn't need double bass its more important to lock the groove and hit it solid.
