Everyone saying JP is classy here, but he confesses they pay him a ton of money. So what he’s really saying is “I’m NAWT risking my bloody payday, bucko!”
As someone that does not watch DW content anymore (since about 2019 or so), this comes off as people wanting JP to have the same opinion that _they_ do, about some pointless drama (of which I'm not aware). From what I've seen, a lot of Catholics tend to be dissatisfied, with anyone who doesn't agree with everything they think, at all times (and this seems to be a 'Catholic' channel). It's cult-like.
@@hxhdfjifzirstc894 I’m sure you’re accurately describing *some* people. However, you admit you haven’t watched the content, so it’s presumptuous of you to believe you understand my opinion. But we still have no idea. And ironically what’s your “subtextually explicit, subconsciously,” motivation for wanting to think, without evidence, that he’s comprised? There’s obviously a reason beyond Jordan himself. I mean there one thing to just make conclusions or theories on current and past evidence but your going beyond that, obviously, pulling subjective examples from your emotions. Taking the Lord's name in vain is a sin. You're using His name as a political slogan to rub in the faces of Jews. Not to mention displaying a preachy public show of faith, which is also condemned by Christ. You are doing nothing useful, evangelical, or moral by using that phrase.
@@sercastamere9853could you please cite your source? I see nowhere saying “Christ is King” is somehow taking the Lord’s name in vain. That may be your interpretation, but it doesn’t mean it’s in the scripture. And if your claim is correct, many Catholic schools are built in sin.
I can see how this cold be interpreted to be antagonistic, but usually I see it in the context of people celebrating their faith among sympathetic others. These days, accusations of bigotry are power grabs far more often than they are credible. Weaponizing victimhood is a dangerous game. Remember the boy who cried wolf.
Someone gets unjustly fired over free speech matters and he's disinterested. In every other instance Jordan and other colleagues get up in arms. But in regards to this infringement they chose convenience. That sounds cowardly to me
For what we know so far Candace wasn't fired. She didn't want to renew her contract. Also free speech doesn't protect someone from being fired, nor does being fired from a company violate free speech in any way.
There is no free speech on a platform where you are specifically hired based on your opinions. DW hired her/Jordan in the first place because they liked her opinions/her takes. They can fire her for her political stances and takes. I'm sure if Jordan started saying Michael Knowles was unhinged after some pro-lifer got locked up for praying at an abortion facility, and then started doing episodes about why being pro-choice may be more ethical, they would get rid of him too.
A "role model" who wrote a book about 12 rules and none of those rules helped him with his depression or drug addiction when his wife got sick. His life was in great disorder and he broke one of his own rules - by criticizing the world - before getting his own life in order. 📖 That’s the story behind 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson.
Translation. I don’t want to mess with he who butters my bread. And as for C.O. I don’t want to cross wires with a frag grenade with a couple of cards it’s best not to mess with.
I haven't watched DW content for several years, but I don't see how JP's position would change if he wasn't being paid by them. Why even ask about drama, in the first place? I watched Ben's podcasts for years (and other's, like Klavan or Knowles), until one by one, I found them being disingenuous -- for example, Ben mindlessly repeated Muh Charlottesville hoax, about Donald Trump supposedly supporting Nazis, and never apologized. So, I noticed the pattern and concluded that they're likely some kind of controlled opposition, and probably funded by Swamp dollars -- too many connections with people like Glenn Beck, etc.
Love Jordan but joining DW was the wrong move. His original Biblical series was so much better. The others on the Exodus examination just take away from the time we get to hear his unique takes. The fact that he can't comment on this is saddening. I wish Candace and Ben could of had a fruitful discussion.
Candace is a veracious debater but she mostly likes the combat, she doesn't like being informed. Look up "Candace Moon Landing Maher" and you will cringe beyond your wildest dreams as she tells Maher she doubts the moon landing and then asks him why NASA never returned only for him to inform her of around 6 subsequent missions
There is no such thing as a fruitful discussion with Candace. There never has been. It is continuously astonishing how well she has managed to pull the wool over so many people's eyes just by throwing out the correct assortment of buzzwords. It just shows that a large plurality of those on the "neo-conservative" right are just as ideologically shallow and infantile as the screaming whiners on college campuses. It just takes a different form. Candace is quite honestly less intellectually honest than Ana Kasparian at this point, and that is saying something.
@@pawepawe5854 if you seriously think candace hasn't purposefully chosen that for pragmatic reasons good luck to you. It's not about defending the christian faith, even less about proclaiming Christ's position of authority over creation.

He literally mentions later in this interview that they just finished filming a similar seminar on the Gospels set to release sometime later this year. Also, two out of the three founders are Christians. All of their hosts except JP and Ben are outspoken Christians. What are you on about?
Because the christians that they tolerate are the lukewarm christians. The ones that think that the universal religion concept, which tries to conceal the Truth behind the relativism, is aceptable. The ones that go to the Abrahamic Family House. While the ones that testify to the uniqueness of following Christ and say things like "Christ is King" are being persecuted. If they ever do any seminar about the Gospels, it will be that bland modernist view and not a true christian perspective.

@@jeangold8789 I don't think what he said was terrible. Although I do think it was measured. He chose to talk about his own experience with the DW plainly because that's what he felt comfortable sharing in the moment and because of his fruitful partnership with them. And it's no wonder. It's like the DW took JP's ideas for potential projects, pumped them up with high-level production and a crap ton of funds and made them into a reality that was beyond anything he could have done himself. From his POV, it makes sense. "A contract has been worked out so that all of the stuff I want to do is backed by a multi-million dollar company with no drawbacks at my expense? Sign me up!!" (I mean, there was no way JP could have created that mini-documentary and tribute to Newfoundland and Rex Murphy without DW's backing). But I get it. People want him to criticize the DW for how they unjustly fired Candace but he chooses to sidestep the issue altogether because, as people believe/suspect, they're paying him generously and effectively tampering his tongue. For now though, I'll tentatively take JP's word at face value. I do hope it will 'sort itself out' and, as he also commented, that anything he could have said would only have caused more trouble than net benefit. Otherwise, he would be breaking his "tell the truth or at least don't lie" principle. And, to steal another one of his phrases, "These things are complicated!" A twitter/X exchange and clips regarding a messy termination issue of public figures and incorporated businesses, no matter how impressionable they can be, do not do enough justice to pierce the corporate veil to show the entirety or true character of Candace's interactions with DW that lead to the breakdown of their relationship. If this was just some beef between RU-vidrs, I'd give the online exchanges/comments more weight (although what's shared online still probably is insufficient). But involving a corporation as big and complex as the DW doing business deals with a well-known figure like Candace who has her own backing vis-à-vis her well-capitalized, business-savvy husband? I'd suspect there was a lot more back and forth behind the scenes that isn't at least fully shared due to contracts, confidentiality agreements, privacy laws, professional ethics, etc. blah blah blah, etc. Call me a fence sitter, grifter, a DW/JP supporter, a Candace Owens hater, a willfully blind idiot, whatever, but I'd rather wait than cast dispersions without being sure of the full picture.

I think being silent on the Candace/Shapiro situation is one thing. But he has lectured on how normal people can become indifferent to the suffering of others in reference to the genocidal mindset of Nazi and Russian Gulag society but is himself silent when it comes to speaking out on today's genocide in Gaza because it would be a difficult path to tread for him. He's came through a lot over the past few years with his health and the health of his wife so i can give that a pass I don't think he's ready to make an enemy of the people he's became so ingratiated with where merely showing the slightest empathy towards Palestinian innocent people being killed is automatically viewed by some as a simultaneous hatred of Jews. That's how warped the situation is and worsening as each day goes by. I fear he will regret later in life not saying something when it mattered and account of the horror has been absorbed.

Jordaan Peterson: "My 30 pieces of silver compensates me well enough to know i shouldn't be biting the hand that feeds me, to know which side to pick, to know that an interview with BB & M.Yousuf as guests would please my masters.....But hey you know im nothing but neutral and would never sell out right😂😂😂"
Its interesting that Jordans first reaction was to start defending his relationship with DW. Almost as if he knew they were in the wrong. No one questioned his partnership with DW so why on earth start explaining all the benefits?
That's how you see it? The way I see it, he just doesn't want to say anything inflammatory because there is no reason for him to do so. So he just decided to say something positive about working at DW, something that he got first hand experience on.
So, he sides with Daily Wire / Ben Shapiro because they pay him well, but they don't pay him well enough to be an absolute buffoon about it (i.e. Andrew Klavan). Got it. Totally fair position for him.
Hes damned if he says anything and hes damned if he doesn't. Hes absolutely right in what hes doing. Whats between Candace and the Daily wire is between those two parties, why add noise to the mess. Also he is being very pragmatic and forthcoming about it, yes he is being paid well at the daily wire; if y'all were in the same situation and weren't caught up in the mess that has NOTHING to do with you, y'all wouldn't want to get involved either. So dont act all holier than thou
Kinda seems like a call for help. He basically tells us he got bribed by all the support he got from the DW and now consciously or unconsciously he wont bite the hand that feeds him. I mean this is textbook corruption. Shower someone with gifts and they will be your stoutest defender.
I think the real reason people are so upset about his response isn’t because they think he’s a shill, even if they do think he is, but it’s because they, themselves, need someone to tell them if the daily wire and Shapiro and all of them can be trusted. And when he said he has nothing to say either you take that as he’s being courteous and truthful or he’s sold out and won’t say what he actually believes. I mean Peterson jumped on the Israel bandwagon so quick people were kinda shocked by that and then the accusations of him selling out came flooding in more than ever before and it could be true on that but also we have no idea if that’s actually what he 100% believes or was told to, but he also said they leave him alone, so who knows. It doesn’t matter who he partners up with, there will always be people throwing these kind of accusations around. I mean why else would you get so upset besides already hating him to begin with? It’s pretty obvious.
I think it's very sad what social media has done to us, that we think everyone needs to state their opinion about everything or face criticism. That's unnatural, unhealthy and has harmed our society . There is such a thing as keeping holy silence. It's not about the 1st Amendment. It's about the 8th COMMANDMENT.
Its imperative for Jordan Peterson to speak on this matter. He a big freedom of speach Guy and we all know that he is hearing and seing what is going on with Candance, this is almost the same thing that happend to him with his teaching job. Its so like Jordan though to expose himself about the money and honestly say that is good to not be alone. He will have come around though since Daily Wire has become unwatchable for me.
Anyone on this page who thinks its a good idea to publically to shame or publically call out your "employer", needs to do just that, and tell us how it works out. Hypocrites. Not to mention he is friends with both of them. Grow up people!
@@officialibn8nah if you’ve seen any of his work he’s put out he’s very intelligent, you only hate him because he doesn’t support everything you support
My honest opinion is that only those who already had something against Jordan are the ones speaking out against him. I respect his response, his words can only cause unnecessary controversy and become detrimental in the near future. Some might agree that that was a wise move.
