I'd wager that the people who built that house lived a completely different life than we do. Most were born into a home with no indoor plumbing. Adding indoor accommodations to existing homes had to have been a challenge. Erin and Ben to the rescue...

it all looks so nice...including the cozyfactor, like I like to call it...some houses look so fancy and luxurious but the don t have the cozyfactor...cozyfator is one of the most importent things...cozy without looking like a cave that is.....your work allways looks fresh, cozy, nice...

The colour of the outside didn't do the house justice on the inside, Nothing popped not even the olive door🙄 Colour was gloomy.

We had the intercom system in our house, too, but ours didn’t work. There’s still a couple speakers - basement bedroom, and garage - but we took out the rest. We also hoped for oak floors under the carpet (the house was built in 1959), but only got plywood, too.

I absolutely love the sentiments they keep and consider while working on a project.

Great changes in the house. I have to say something unrelated to the renovation. Erin, the dress you had on at the reveal made me think of Mae's bedroom wallpaper. It's very pretty.

I wonder if eliminating a bedroom brought down the resale value of the house. I kind of doubt the average buyer would want such a huge closet. An extra bedroom would be more appealing. ("Forever homes" many times don't end up "forever" because of life events so a person has to think ahead about resale value.) The blue tile in the kitchen is jarring. I think if the tile had gone to the ceiling it wouldn't have looked so low. These criticisms aside, I love how Erin and Ben remodel and redecorate the homes they're hired to do because each house is unique.
