Ben Howard - Lowlands 2015 FULL 

guys, I was here at Lowlands.. and this was his best performance ever. this pure raweness.. I mean, listen to his lyrics, It's dark and sad, troughout the years he developed a sound that's in his comfort. (darkness) anyways people.. this is not bad at all, I think that you guys should get used to it, because this is his sound. if you listen his music.. can't you feel the pain, the darkness and sadness? I'm sorry but if you don't like his evolved style.. Just ignore his music. if you love to come close to an emotion that's dark and full of pain, just absorb it and enjoy this musician.

Seems like India didn't expect to sing alone at 27:47 but I don't know how or why but I got teary-eyed: her singing alone, ben's smile and the reaction of the crowd. wow!

I don't think people are grasping that this is raw emotion, and I know it might not sound right to people who aren't musical or passionate but there's a certain beauty to imperfection in vocals, at the times something sounds write and a lot of the time with artists such as Ben Howard, John Martyn and many others, vocals aren't a key there an emotional sentence, wether you want to shout them, hum them, whisper them. Whatever feels right at the time is what is produced! This is in my opinion why Ben Howard doesn't care much for opinions of his work, it's doing it for him and if you enjoy what he's doing along his journey then that's a plus to everyone!

All these comments about where has the old Ben gone just makes me sad, where have the old fans gone?! Stop picking out his flaws and appreciate what he is giving us for christ sake! This performance was perfect, so much emotion👌🏻.

The singing is mainly because Ben was at the heaviest point of his pneumonia at the time but had decided to get on with the tour anyway. He also did the Glastonbury set with pneumonia but that was when he'd got a bit better. Listen to Dan Lewis' chat with Kyle Keegan (the drummer), he's shed some light on what was going on back then.

Is it just me or did some parts of ''rivers in your mouth'' sound kinda painful? One of my favourites by him though.... but, ouch!

He seems so tired. I think he needs some time off. Playing the same songs over and over would eventually take its toll on an artist. I miss the old Ben, but I understand his change in demeanor towards recent live shows.

Still great, full of emotion and musical brilliance.... I'm a big fan.... but.... And let's be honest.... something about this specific gig just wasn't right, it's disjointed somehow, possible sound back issue but seems more like just simply one of them gigs that for human reasons (tired band perhaps) just didn't quite work out.

At 34:30 you can see Howard's tattoo. I wonder what is it? I suppose it's "APAE", but even uncle Google says nothing about it, so I wonder about that.

It still sounds okey to me but it has been better! I'm still a fan and I really want him to be back in Holland soon because I've never seen him playing live. Although he's not himself in this video, I think... I don't know, if you listen a small part from 4:30 till 5:00 you maybe can hear he's not totally able to hit that note. He was able to hit that note before I know for sure. Maybe it's mental, maybe it's physical, I don't know but I really hope he'll be better soon!

What on earth happened to Ben Howard after the brilliance of 'Every Kingdom'? These songs drone on and on and on, with little to commend them, no melody to speak of, and an endless blur of "soundscapes". If this is supposed to be cool and edgy, then so be it, but it's incredibly boring and frankly quite depressing. Nevertheless, thanks for the upload, at least there were some moments of sunshine in the form of the ever graceful and delightful India Bourne.

His best performance?? People, are you serious? He is singing awful. There is no feeling for rythm and tones. He is obviously suffering on the stage. Seriously suffering, not artificially suffering. Probably absolutely on drugs or whatever AND THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG WIH HIM: i as at his show in Cologne on August 22nd 20015 and it was even worse! This is a fading Ben Howard. I hope he is gonna recover but this performance definitely is not good. It seems as if he really needs a break at this point. He is obviously destroyed. I do not understand how this cannot be seen by his fans. Do not get me wrong, I love his music and he is a great artist and that is why it matters to me to share my opinion. Ben Howard probably has grown too fast and now musci industry in slaughtering him. I don´t think that he can take it. This performance tells me that he is broken. Thanks for your rational feedback to my post. I am a big Ben Howard fan and I care about this wonderful artist!
