Entertaining. But wish there was a little more technical breakdown (when / what conditions to do it) and also done on the opposite side to the deliverer's forehand. Simone's videos are usually great!

How do you anticipate that an Erne opportunity is coming up so you could get ready for it in time?

If you get your opponent streatching wide and they are a little late time to go. But it helps having a partner that knows what to do when you go

One key is you hit the ball very close to the sideline, and they are looking down at the ball. They don't see you coming up. Look when she did the Erne. Lindsey was looking down at the ball and didn't see Simone coming.

Why don't you play that with a forehand? Seems a lot easier then playing across your body. backhand on the left side erne, forehand on the right side for RH.

she's playing mixed, so she will almost always be on that side so that Ben Johns has forehand in the middle

@@rachelrettger6295 Not talking about the side of the court- talking about why when you're jumping the kitchen to your right side, you wouldn't hit the ball with your forehand. In the video, she's playing a backhand as she's jumping for the ERNE. Just seems awkward and complicated.

On the backhand side requires more contortion of the body to produce the correct paddle position, angle and power. Much more difficult than the forehand. She chose the right side to work on with this expert.

When you volleyed the ball, your feet were outside the court. That is not a fault?

If someone serves the ball to you and draws you far outside of the court, you can still return serve even if your feet are outside of the court. So I don’t see how this would be any different. Same with the ATP.
