Ben MacDui via Cairngorm - Munro bagging - Scotland 

I’ve wanted to do Ben MacDui for a while now. Its located in one of the most inhospitable environments in Scotland, at the edge of the Cairngorm Plateau. From Cairngorm Mountain resort, we headed up to the summit of Cairngorm, along to Stob Coire an t-Snechda before crossing the plateau over to Ben MacDui, all the while surrounded by some of the highest mountains in Scotland.
You can access the mountain from the Lin of Dee or Cairngorm Mountain near Aviemore. I chose to tackle it from Cairngorm direction so I could get to see and cross the plateau for myself. The views were worth it! The sheer scale of the place is hard to describe. The mountains in this part of the Cairngorms are big! Looking down on Carn a'Mhaim from almost 300m higher made it look minuscule!
A Brilliant day out in the hills, Definitely one worth visiting!
