great ice arrest video at the end, but i have all ways rotated onto stomach and bent knees, get your feet away from contact with the ground, otherwise your crampons may catch a rock just under the snow. At them speeds easy to brake ankles or leg bones. In all fairness you guys look the part with all the equipment. just need to perfect your technique of self arrest. great video over all.

Really fantastic video. Good weather - for Scotland on February - and everyone seemed well prepared & equipped. I'd be interested to know your thinking behind not roping up together across the CMD? I've heard various arguments for & against in terms of safety.

Looks like a great day out guys, also some like it was hard work. Not a lot of talking going on, but lots of hard breathing. Get Karl to tell you about his ice axe arrest practice on Mont Blanc. His waterproof trousers (borrowed from someone else) looked like a grass skirt by the time he'd finished.

When you said ice axe arrest, I was thinking someone was arrested for using one as a weapon or something :-(

What month did you go up? Looks hard going.
