I love how Bpak explains more in seven minutes than I have learned or even observed in the last 3 years of lifting. Every single video is a wealth of knowledge, thank you so much for posting these Bpak.
I really like how Ben explains the reasoning behind his technique. I feel I learn a lot more from his vids than other youtubers who show what they are doing but rarely explain why.
Ever since i've watched this i've definitely made the conscious effort to squeeze through the pinky fingers and this has helped my biceps contraction greatly
subscribing to u ben has been the best thing ive done in a loong time!! finally not the regular stuff everyone already knows as "what exercise can i do fore the pecs? u can bench!".. the way to do it and the small details that makes all the difference!! and coming from a guy in your size it means there's a point!
Been waiting forever for an optimal bicep training video! I have definitely been considering the "strength curve" a lot more when choosing my exercises and also truly understanding the function/longest/shortest range each respective muscle group has. Thanks, Ben! Keep them coming please.
I also like how he doesnt just post videos for the sake of a video, every video is concise and to the point giving great information on everything he does, BPAK for Mr Olympia 2013! ;)
I WAS getting big in left biceps but my right biceps was to week and i can't focus on him!!! I was trying hard to solve this and YOU HELP ME A LOT!!!! Once i squeese my right pinky harder, my right arm starts to get biceps!!! THANK YOU A LOT!!!!!!!!
I love every single one of your videos. So nice to see someone approach lifting with as much science and application as you do. So many people just blab all the science stuff all over the place but don't apply any of it. Another great video Ben!
I followed this advice this morning. Dropped the weight, kept the elbows still, and squeezed the pinky. I've been having muscle spasms all day in my hands, forarms and biceps.
Thankyou ben! I did this workout this day, it was great. The incline bench curls were real hard at the end haha! Great workout, thanks for the tips l. Definitely putting this into my bicep training 💪
Ben has put together a great focus on form and execution, it's old but known technique, my skinny180lb arse uses this technique and tho my 17.5 inch arms aren't gonna stop a bull they can and do curl 60-70 db's with decent if not perf form, well minus on high reps, my avg weight to train like this at mod. level is like 35-45lbs, George Spellwin reminded me Ben is great at explaining proper form, focus and why you get results. Thanks guys I was getting sloppy..
These tips are actually amazing, i remember now i used to use these methods, of turning the dumbell and keeping it for 2 secs before lowering, and only doing exercises that 'felt good' or in this case contracted the muscle to its maximum. I saw the biggest gains in that period, my brother after a 6 month trip came back and said he didnt recognize me.
One tip a trainer gave me for the supination was instead of gripping the dumbbell in the middle grip it toward the end of the dumbbell that's closest toour body. So if it is in your right end grip it towards the left end this will force you to grip tighter with your pinky and the weight at the right end of the dumbbell will pull down causing a tighter contraction.
I have been training at the gym for 4 years, but had to stop 3 month due to broken fist.. I started back 1 month ago and regained much of what I have lost, I am proud of myself for that. So people, no matter what happens, don't give up!!
ben thanks for your honest and very descriptive workout tips. it makes a huge difference. And by honest i mean not contracting 80's trying to do bicep curls.
Ben thanks alot for sharing your knowledge , You deserve a lot of appreciation. im learning so much from you. im trying to think how the muscles work and how to "feel" them in the best way. thx again keep it up!
Ben you are the truth your info has helped so much in terms of true body sculpting. This info is awesome, and I bet you have a whole bunch of little detailed specific tips that help someone understand how to actually lift with good form
Thanks for sharing bro. I'm going to implement this into my bicep workout. I have grown some but I feel it's not working out. Thanks again, and God Bless
very educated workout Ben. blimey you got some hectic guns there. on my way to work now with this workout and due to the time i will have left we can finish with muscle up training. bless for this.
this technique you are talking about, with the little finger, really works well. i feel like my biceps are about to explode off of my armm when i concentrate on gripping my LF tighter and rotate the dumbbell. i'm not so knowledgeable on the science behind it, but it does feel like my bis are getting a much better workout now. thanks.
Thanks a million for sharing honest, helpful information and explaining the why behind it! This is the kind of information that actually helps me to achieve my goals. Cheers!
I do the curls behind my head and I'm growing like a beast. Throw in preacher curls and you got a killer workout (literally my workout the past 2 months)
subbed this is great i was having some wierd pain from doing curls with ez bar.. and this workout really puts a good burn in my biceps! with 0 pain i love it.
I started implementing a lot of the stuff that BPak is talking about in my workouts, and one of them is supination. Mind you I've been strong since before I started working out, but I posted a picture of me during some bicep workout, and I've been bombed with question about exercise after it. If you want to build, there is no one like Ben who can teach you that well!!!
