Some one should tell him that clone wars isnt a cohesive story but actually jumps around the timeline telling different arcs, so he could just start a later season to jump to better quality
@adamcummings20 I would say look up a chronological order guide, but if you want to hop right into star wars action season 4 is all quality and has the infamous (in a good way) Umbara arc
Agreed, though I think I'd rank Rebels as a better cohesive story. Love how Clone Wars expanded the universe and really filled in the gaps of the prequels.
@@xtv62 I agree, I think you have to be seriously obsessed with Star Wars to get into it. Seems like it's the best thing for the most intense fans but not for the more casual.
@@xtv62 I can see what you mean, what made me enjoy it was to see it as a worldbuilding show made up of short films, there is essentially no story but it does great at making you care about clones, the war, the Jedi and some of the politicians
Absolutely based with Ben’s opinion on ROS, I’m fairly divided on how I feel about the first two of the trilogy but ROS stands out to me as being so unbearably dreadful that it soured me on the first two films, I know people hate TLJ and I do in some ways but ROS feels like Disney putting on hand puppets of my childhood characters and trying to throttle me with them
Star wars and Harry Potter hold the same weird place in my head. I like star wars and I like Harry Potter, but I don't like any of their films. I like their deep lore and I like certain characters here and there, and I like a lot of the fan made stuff, but I just don't like any of the movies.
I understand Star Wars especially if you're younger but how can you not like the Harry Potter films? They're extremely well made and full of charm and character. I'd say everything from the third movie onwards still looks timeless unlike most of Star Wars being incredibly dated which can obviously detract from the experience. If you love the world and lore of Harry Potter I genuinely cannot comprehend how you could say that but I completely see where you're coming from with star wars.
maybe i am not such a critic person but i liked rise of skywalker. Watched it with my gf and we enjoyed it. I liked the old characters returning like lando and palp. But there was a lot of wasted potential. But its like Ben said before you miss a lot of backstory. Like maybe its just me but who the fuck was snoke? He was just there as this huge fucking being but I never seen him before. That being said I only watched the original star wars movies(no rogue one etc) Also I liked the prequels oops
Honestly, I tend to agree with Ben on ROTJ- I'd probably still put it in good tier, but the only really good part of it is the Luke & Palpatine & Vader stuff at the end. But that end is amongst the best of the entire franchise. My hardest disagree is on TLJ, which I think is probably the best movie that Disney has done with Star Wars, but still probably not as good as the OT. Loved the characterization of Luke in it.
@@burtreynolds8030Some people love the fact that he made some poor decisions a long time ago and the man we see now is a man who's had to live with those decisions for many years while remaining isolated from society. I hated Luke in TLJ too personally, there was a good idea in there but it just had such poor execution. It was all tell not show. We needed to see what happened to him to believe it, it needed to be justified. That Kylo flashback doesn't count either, it was such a poor excuse when you look at how Luke acted around his father who was infinitely more evil. It's something old depressed Luke would do, not the OT Luke. If written correctly, this depressed, disillusioned Luke could have been fantastic and sympathetic but instead he's frustrating and upsetting and we struggle to connect with him because we don't know what he's been through to cause this big of a character shift
Last Jedi is second to worst Star Wars piece of media behind rise of skywalker, TLJ had the biggest sin of Disney, the absolute butchering of Luke Skywalker’s character
