I'm Canadian. I just have to express a little smugness at the cordial welcome that a Canadian university gave to Ben. The folks who disagreed with him were actually more polite and friendly than the folks at other, non-Canadian, venues who agreed with him. Well done Canadians.

My "exposure" to Ben Shapiro ( thus far) has been via You Tube. I have not necessarily viewed the videos in any particular order. It turns out that the Canadian Freedom Summit 17 was (I believe) the second one in which Ben was greeted and treated with actual overall respect by his audience. Having seen so many where he was NOT; I am so glad to see that occasionally (by whatever means) he is. I pray that he does not withdraw from sharing his message because of violent opposition or fear to speak out. Though you are NOT a military man, being that I am man of God (Biblical Christian) that is engaged constantly in spiritual warfare in this world(praying and speaking against evil and oppression and lies): Ben Shapiro....thank you for your service.

The fact that humans who believe in an all-powerful, all-knowing being and yet insist that that being is dumb (or arrogant) enough to demand that the system He built cannot stand on its own without permission from the creator itself? That seems inefficient and backwards. Insisting that there must also be a system of mutual dependency, whereby a creator *MUST* give permission and authority to his lessers *AND* his lessers must give back to him faith and obedience? Lunacy. God, if he exists in the way all religious fundamentalists insist he exists, can and will exist devoid of either faith *OR* belief from his lessers. Further, God, if he exists, can and would have made a system of morals and ethics in which his existence wouldn't need to be known of in the slightest in order for those morals and ethics to function. It would make no sense for an all-powerful being to create a system in which he would have to constantly monitor and "miracle" things back on-track if He had created things which have free-will. It's like someone building a car and then never allowing it to be turned on without the driver making sure that the person who built the car is right there in the car at all times.
