Ben Turpin: Holding his Own (Laurel & Hardy) 

Ben is the strangest but hilarious comedian because he’s cross eyed

A lot of "I've seen this before... done better." Laurel and Hardy with the car trouble, Harold Lloyd at the dance in THE FRESHMAN, and the "huddle" with the suspenders is a foreshadow of Buster Keaton's dressing room scene in THE CAMERAMAN, which came out later the same year. Ben's a likeable fella, but his crossed eyes aren't enough to put him in the same league as the others.
