I've always LOVED Ben's playing, but I've got to admit that Shavers was a MONSTER trumpet player.

Absolutely fantastic recording. Charlie Shavers and Ben Webster two legends. And yes I love the violin in Jazz.

Shit Folks! Those were the days, when musicans were musicans!! And they SMILED!! On stage when "music " were all abt! I was there! NHØP on bass! Wow, it was real cool!

Imagine drifting past that smoky cafe while on a perfect twilight stroll under a gentle canopy of raindrops, ultimately finding yourself drawn in by the sound of Webster's tenor and the allure of a cognac? Good God...does sensory pleasure get any any better than that?
