Hey Carlos this is a really good video and I have a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid and the DTC im getting are P0A78 - Drive Motor Inverter and P0A3F - Drive Motor Position Sensor And I’m not sure if it’s the Inverter or the IMA Battery I would have to replace what would you recommend? I checked all my grounds and positives and fuses and they looked good ! Thanks Carlos !
My 2009 Honda Civic hybrid occasionally experiences the red battery light turning on, particularly during cold mornings, leading to a failure in charging the 12-volt battery.is this related to dc to dc converter?
You don't need to do anything with them. If the converter is in the vehicle it will only power on once the rest of the modules are up and running. It normally get's it's power from one of the modules and then it communicates using the CAN-H and the CAN-L with the vehicle computer.
If you do that you risk draining your IMA pack below it's nominal voltage. That 12v signal is from a controlled source that shut it off if the rest of your IMA system is not working correctly.
@@carlosmedrano8656 dam any ideas to what can be my issue . I replaced dc converter it it’s still showing battery light . Thanks for the quick reply too 🙏🙏
@@jasonlightbearer335 There are many things that could keep this converter from turning on. Is your IMA inverter actually charging your IMA pack? Is the Battery control module coming online via the CANN Bus? Is the relay that powers on the IMA control systems good? is the fuse that powers on those relays good? Many possibilities.
