other notices i discovered after getting scammed myself. The thumbstuds stick out past the knife scales when viewed laying on its spine, unlike the real. The logos have textures you can feel on the fake, smooth on the real, The s30v printed on the blade should be fully visible and not partially hidden when open. The big giveaways can be with the packaging, labels and even the cloth bag. These counterfeits are all over the ALI sites for 20 bucks and on ebay for 180. It is still a Federal offense to knowingly sell them though so report the sellers and return when you can. Ebay might make you send it to Benchmade to confirm and destroy it. Also, it should be noted that there is a good chance these are made with child labor in poor conditions. There is a reason Made in The USA comes with its price tag. At least the new magnacut black and copper 940 comes out this month to calm me down.

Couple of things I’ve noticed on the axis lock clones is that they have a real issue with being not properly locked up. Give it a little spine whack and don’t trust it when you do. The other thing is more just with the 940 clones, and it’s the grind. Where they start the flat and the plunge is not right, like it makes the blade seem funny to the eye but only just slightly. I hope I described that in a decent way. I like that channel man. Also you probably wouldn’t ever notice the grind unless it’s held up against a real one. It looks like it’s been sharpened down real bad but it’s just a bad grind on almost all the 940s.

I bought an Infidel clone for $30 a few years ago&when I got it it looked nothing at all like a real 1 They didnt even try a little. It was the 1st&last time. Lesson learned.
