Those serrations are physically painful to look at. The only advantage they give you is if you don’t like sharpening your knives.

The Original Green 940 is the Steve McQueen ‘Bullitt' Mustang of pocket knives.

Maybe someday I’ll save up for ONE 940 lol. These are sick! If I had a choice I think I’d just get a standard green aluminum one.

The pocket clips on the cabelas 940 is made so that over time the pocket clip wear in really rugged looking way and it’s dope

Currently, I carry the 940-1 the most, due to the S90V blade. I also have the 940, 940-2, 943 and the BladeHQ exclusive M4 version. These tend to be my backup knife, with a larger knife as primary.

I’m so pissed that the 943 was discontinued. It was a grail for a long time. I’ve been looking for a 940 with a blue handle and black serrated blade but can’t find it anywhere. Benchmade needs to put the 940 in the custom shop and they need Sezzle on their site

Dang Zach! You have a killer 940 collection, my favorite is either the SMKW exclusive or the Standard aluminum with the purple backspacer. Love the design and will there’s a 57% it will be the next knife. Still think they need to add it to the custom shop 😁

I love the classic green/purple combo. I want a Ti version of that model with S90V or M4. Blue is my color though so a Carbon fiber with blue standoffs and studs. Some blue hardware.

my friend has the smokey mountain knifeworks one, the last one you showed, the red twill cf with m390 and ive played around with it, its an amazing knife, so light weight!

My favorite looking 940 series is your Cabella's exclusive with that two-tone look. I have a Ruckus with those same two-tone scales and I love it. As for EDC, I'd take my 943 any day with that razor sharp needle point blade.

I have the standard 940 and love it, so I would have to go with the smkw limited one then the cabelas one. Theres just something about the wood and the cf handle.

I dig that REI exclusive.

My fav is the red infused carbon fiber.

I would combine parts from 2 of them to have one with green G10, blue barrel spacers and 20cv blade. My mom's favorite color was blue and my dad's favorite color is green. Then I like 20cv.

OK personally I think it was an interesting video what’s up with all the 940s I am new to bench made that’s a fact I actually just bought the bug out 945 /2 I had to loosen the screw and oil it just to be able to flip it but I have to say it’s pretty nice now. I have so many knives but my 940 Osbourne paired with a small bugout pocket clip feels like it was made for my hand. The smoothness of the action is magnificent! It’s one knife that I would never part with. I bet if they came out with a mini 940 they would sell a ton!

It's one of the best collections I've seen. I'd go classic in green alum. But that smokey mountain is beautiful.

If you ever want to sell that 1801, I can't find one for sale anywhere.

My first big knife purchase was the 940 sbk. I remember my buddy chose it as his issue knife before a deployment. We were civil engineers so we had the choice of a multitool or knife. Different brands of whichever choice you made. I wanted one ever since that day. Just never pulled the trigger. I just wasn't that into knives as i was guns at the time. 5 years later, I finally bought my 940. I think serrations are a must. Especially if you're like me and always cutting rope. Wanted black because it makes the green and purple POP! I think benchmade discontinued serrations? Correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't been able to find any for sale. I almost hate carrying it now because of that. I put a purple deep carry, purple screws. Custom scales from Germany, made me a green camo looking micarta scales and purple backspacer. Real proud of this knife overall. I also bought the 9400 auto when it came out. Really thought I wouldn't like it as much because, I thought I wouldn't be able to one hand close it. Not true, a little practice and its no problem. LOVE your collection. I'm totally jelly. The regular models would be the ones I'd use. The collectors, would be in a displayable case.

How many omegas have you went through? being the benchmade guy figured id ask, I have one getting serviced right now. Also have you ever purchaced the omegas from amazon? If so how are they?

I love the 940-2 with the titanium scales and blue back spacers the most out of all of them, and couldn't choose one of your CF 940's if my life depended on it! Lol, what a great video though, I've been struggling for MONTHS to pick a good 940 for myself... Apologies, but I'm a straight edge kinda gal! 🙏🏻🤭 If I want a serrated edge, I'll likely go for one of those rescue knives! 🤣 Which I do also want eventually. Also prefer stonewashed finish to the blade, rather than overly shiny/satin or black coating, definitely will be avoiding the aluminum handles, for SURE!! Hi zach i just purchased Benchmade super freak last week I love the knife did a few upgrades already on it tritium thumb stud and a deep carry pocket clip the knife super smooth what is your opinion? What do you think about the super freak? I love the blade and scales on it it pops I also ordered a red but I’m thinking I like the tritium one a lot better Monday I will be ordering the Benchmade claymore full size from my buddy at knifeship for free for iam thinking full size drop point in black i have a pretty good size collection of benchmade knifes

Lol Zach. You pick a 940 for the 7 day same knife challenge. That's not a challenge brother. The 940 is a wonderful knife to carry. Try going down to the gas station , picking up one from them and running that for 7 days. I did and only made it 40 minutes before I tossed it out the window. $10.84 gone in 40 minutes but i already knew it wasn't gonna work out well. Super nice collection of 940's there bro. And I am digging the international exclusive. But I'm on the hunt for the smkw
