In this video a compare the benchmade 940 Osborne tot he Benchmade Bugout ! Enjoy as these knive battle head to head #knife #edc #outdoors #everydaycarry #knifelife #edccommunity #knives #edcgear
For me actually 940 turned out to be more slicy. Because Bugout is so thin and a wider blade, there is more friction and sometimes it stuck in a cardboard(when its a big piece), while 940 goes easy. Same with food, surprisingly even for a butter I liked 940 more which I didn’t expect. I was just testing them in a 10 days mountain trip and ended up doing everything with 940 cause so much more joy and comfort. Great review tho!
The 940 is more prone the splitting an apple and stuff like that though. But the 940 blade shaped is very useful and I will always love that strong tip
I thought my bugout CF elite would have beat out my 940. Back and forth over a few months...and the 940 wins for me. I plan on selling both my griptilians and both bugouts here before Christmas. The 940 is just MY best (with a snaggletooth opener installed)
I love my 940. I bought the green S30V version in the video in 2016 for $140. That was a good deal considering that it was going for around $185 at that time. Have a great day.
I like them both940.I was surprised what I could do With it good blade shape. The Bugout is a lot tougher then I realized. Never issues with omega springs after 20 years several knives.I don't figet all day with them. Only issue with the 940 handle Is slippery with my dry hands.Good video
They aren't overpriced if you factor in the warranty and lifesharp service they offer with all their knives. You really can't beat that. Also, the 940 has set the gold standard in EDC pocket knives.
Hands down the 940 is the better knife, not even close. I have had 940's since about 2010 and still have my fist one along with a nice little collection. I have had several bugouts and sold them. They are not a solid enough knife to be used for real work. More of an office knife or a knife to carry when you don't expect to need a knife.
As a electrician our knives are used all the time. To be honest mostly at $10 razor knife. But there are times when you don’t have your knife on you so you use your pocket knife which in my case is a 940 I tried a 9400 but didn’t like the automatic not for work
These knives aren’t even in the same league. They’re completely different knifes for completely different jobs. And the bugout is weak garbage with a nice blade and a good lock.
@@jacksoncornbreadmcbride6763 I speak from experience. Living in the UK, it's no small inconvenience to send my 940 back not just once, but twice for this same problem. Many people have complained about it, so it's not just me.
@@sputumtubehuge issue here to send it back from Canada as well. Boarder services will likely confiscate any knife I send to America and keep it for themselves. (I mean destruction😂)
@@jacksoncornbreadmcbride6763ohh yeah they care about the laws there big time. You should go visit and see what the definition of illegal means on the other side of the planet
