This gives me an idea, seeing as chains can be expensive, I will make this fixture (in my spare time) and every day I will make 10 to 15 of the links (in my spare time). In a month I will have a long usable chain, voila! But seriously, it is a very good DIY project. Thank you and thumbs up!
@@jonhy2x4 It would likely hold up for most gas engines as long as the welds are decent, without welding it is almost useless but I wouldn't trust it on a heavy diesel engine, they can get well over a thousand pounds.

I made chains in 304 stainless steel by soldering the links to use as a snow chain on my koleos 4wd on all 4 wheels and they work without problem, thanks for the idea
