Benedict Cumberbatch reads for the Story of Christmas 

It's amazing how he gets into the story and acts it out. Benedict is so great. He's brilliant :)

Yes, he was there for the whole event and stayed for the charity auction afterwards. Cumberbatch is an honorary Vice-President of the Story of Christmas Appeal.

Another reason to love Benedict. I'm such a huge fan!

Seriously, everytime someone coughed I wanted to just go through my computer screen and throw Ricolas and water at them.

I usually don't partake of Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving here in the states, but for Benedict I will ALWAYS make an exception. :)

I had to learn this in school. I still remember every word.

He's such a wonderful man! Taking time out of his busy schedule to take part in charity events like this. God bless him!

Mr. Cumberbatch is a great guy. I'm glad he volunteers his time for good causes. The only thing that marred this video was all the coughing. Drove me nuts. But I guess it couldn't be helped that people couldn't suck on a cough drop while a live performance was occurring (shakes head in exasperation). Mr. Cumberbatch has read other books and poems aloud and he always does a wonderful job.

Why wasn't an usher there to escort rude cougher? The audience is always informed, I'm sure, that this was being recorded. We hear the recording. Why doesn't the cougher realize the disturbance the cough is making? Yet, Cumberbatch tells the story as only a great storyteller can. Thank you Benedict. Stay cool.
