Woah...part of my youth!!! I was 14 when I saw this and had it recorded onto vhs...when I saw Hypocrisy for the first in this clip, playing The Fourth Dimension - I WAS SOLD!!! There was no going back, hello death metal, hello black metal - I grew my hair long and dyed it black... Super nostalgic watching this! Thanks for uploading!
Best times for great gigs back then in the days. Impressive how much energy those bands had, look at Hypocrisy, so young and vicious, haha lol and especially Benediction sounding great!!! ooowph
No mames! Que alguien invente una puta máquina del tiempo. Coño, aquellos eran los malditos días en que valía la pena estar vivo y sin puto coronavirus. Fuck!!!

I saw them in Manchester England during that time when Machine head invited them to tour on their Burn my Eyes tour, they were awesome, we were big fans of None so went to see Meshuggah specifically. They gave us a bunch of merch outside after the show, stickers and glossy photos. I still have a dog eared faded sticker of Destroy Erase Improve album art work on the side of my bass drum case they gave to me. Ah the good old days.
I know that I am in the minority, but I can't stand Meshuggah and their fancy groove - Nu Metal disguised as highly Technical Death Metal. I can live without their Poly rhythm Hip Hop Gent Step nonsense. I don't care how difficult it is to play, the outcome is smart guy Rap music, and I don't like Rap or Hip Hop
I'd say they fall more in line with groove metal and industrial metal than nu metal. Meshuggah have more in common with bands like strapping young lad than they do with korn. But yeah, if you don't like their technical groove stuff I'd recommend checking out their first album contradictions collapse where they played more technical thrash.
This was the era of Headbangers Ball I had missed out on, THIS is the HbB I would have enjoyed - but is also the time I discovered "Destroy Erase Improve" in 1995. Jens with hair, Haake shaved :p. Man . . . Hagstrom says they will go back home and start recording . . . Chaosphere doesn't come out till 1998 D: I had plenty of time to catch up with Contradictions Collapse, None and DEI (and "Futile 'Bread' Machine" :p) :).
