I am currently living in Korea (been here for 7 years) and will move to Luxembourg next couple of months. Knowing how good is Korea healthcare system, reimbursement system in Luxembourg seems so much work. In Korea, hospitals/clinics are already connected to national insurance. No need for me to ask reimbursement. Just show my resident card number, they will know if I am under national health insurance or not. So, I just need to pay the non-covered part. Also no need for appointment with most clinics (not with big hospitals). Although, I guess, the harder part in Korea is to find English-speaking doctors as I kinda need to just explore (just try to go and speak broken korean if they can't speak english and never come back 😅) or call beforehand to know if a doctor speaks English or ask for recommendation from other foreigners. But well, I just need to adapt with any system I am/will live in 😅

But, then, number of vacation days indeed is one of the most exciting part when I see my contract for working in Luxembourg. I was surprised with how plentiful my vacation days will be in Luxembourg compared to what I could get in Korea.

@@marcella.astrid hello, luckily for hospital you just give CNS card and they treat you mostly for free or for the remaining part of costs that is on you, the things I was talking about was for a doctor's visit like specialist or GP for something not invasive, even if you get a physiotherapy that is at least 8 sessions and would add up to higher cost you get the prescription and you pay at the end of all sessions and only remaining 20 or 30% i don't remember if it's reimbursed 70 or 80%. Also additional insurance at work normally pays for those 20/30% but again as you mentioned you have to file the documents

@@ByMagdaYT good to hear. At least when it is indeed very costly (hospital), no need for reimbursement system 😅. It's just, I sick a lot but not sick enough to go to hospital (anyway, unless emergency, hospitals require clinic referral letter). Clinics are enough (including specialist clinics) and no need for reimbursement systems here. There goes my lovely Korea healthcare system 😅 Or may be my sickness is due to lack of vacation? 😂 Who knows if my health can be generally better in Luxembourg

@@marcella.astrid hahhah yes can be that or the climate or stress so can be anything but works quite ok here, in many places in Europe including Poland, Italy and Spain you get all "for free" with your social security card (you pay with taxes with your income) but you end up going to old facilities with sometimes old doctors that are not up to date, waiting months for visits to specialists and even years for surgeries so I prefer to pay 200 for a visit with examinations from which 80/90% will be given back and you have a visit next week, that's only possible in Poland by privet doc and nobody will reimburse it for you so 😂 or you wait for months xd

@@ByMagdaYT yes I agree definitely waiting for months/years and with only selected doctors are worse than Luxembourg system. I will also prefer getting my treatment sooner and pay in advanced. If waiting too much, may be my sickness would be already gone by then. Gone for good or bad 😂 I am Indonesian. Well, when I was in Indonesia, some doctors couldn't accept the national insurance too. And it was confusing which doctors can/can't accept (and I am Indonesian) But thinking about my life here, there was one period that I was not covered by Korea national health insurance. Only private insurance from my university and that was a reimbursement system and I had to file documents each time. It was bearable 😂. I think this is the closest one with Luxembourg system. ... I will miss Korean system 😅. Generally no waiting (for clinics, except some dentists to my experience), no filing documents each time, any clinics accept, not fully free but very cheap (probably similar to Luxembourg for the coverage. Don't know the exact number or list but watching some of your videos, roughly same feeling). Except for language problem, Korea system is just too good in my experience. In this matter, I may go downhill wherever I go in the world 😂
