In this video I am explaining the benefits of sitting on the floor and why you should care.
1) Floor sitting improves joint/muscle flexibility and mobility over time as positions of sitting on floor will require you to move all your muscles and joints than sitting on chair.
2) Floor sitting creates more movement options. There are more ways to get up from floor than chair and there are more ways of sitting on floor than on chair.

HELPFUL HINTS
If you are not used to sitting on floor, use a couple of cushions to raise your body. As you feel more comfortable and you notice that you are not having to lean back on your hands to support, reduce to one cushion, and if needed, use progressively thinner cushions until you can sit comfortably.
To help your body adjust to floor sitting, start 5 minutes and increase in small increments, to 7 minutes, then 10, and 15 and 20.
