I'm Taro Iwamoto, a movement coach. I help people go from suffering from chronic pain (despite having done all kinds of modalities) to being active and healthy again. I help people go from feeling overwhelmed, confused, and frustrated about not knowing their own body and how they should be moving, to feeling connected with their body, understanding their body so well from the inside and how to move in the best way possible for their own body so that they can move with a sense of ease, comfort, and confidence! If this is you, I believe you will get lots of values from my contents.

Milý Taro, sledujem tvoje výdea už dlhšie,niektore precvičujem. Je škoda že nemáš voľne spustené ti tulky v iných jazykoch-čeština,slovenčina. Neovládam anglický jazyk a tak čerpám len z obrazu
This series is great and helps a lot with the stuff that ‘straight Feld’ sometimes doesn’t. The very beginning of standing leg activation in this one to make the other foot lighter (perhaps holding a weight on the same side as the standing leg) can be massive for fixing the internal rotation issues so many people have when pushing off through the foot.
Any tips for the hypermobile body that deals with hips subluxing or dislocating? I'm still learning to identify when my hips are malaligned, and one of the symptoms is that I can't ground my foot well on the side that is out. I love the mindful movement and have benefitted from some of the movements you have shared here. I guess what I am curious about is if you have any insight for helping a hypermobile body mindfully keep things in place.
Just saw video, I agree wholeheartedly with Taro san. I had fusion and laminectomy of my L3, 4, &5. Post surgery my pain was relieved but a couple years later the pain was progressively returning. These exercises after 1 session has relieved my lumbar pain. Keep up the good work!
Excellent advice! I love the simplicity of using a pool noodle as a tool. I've noticed my hips have so much capacity for complex movement and fear and anxiety had kept them "locked in place", afraid to move all the ways they can. I think trauma literally makes us uptight, and getting back into our bodies releases us and gives us more ease and freedom. (It's all connected, too. My entire body is starting to release and relax in different ways. The entire system has more and more ease as I learn to allow my body to really move in all the ways it's capable.)
I didn't do anything like that. I took my good hand, grabbed my numb hand and pulled it away from my wrist like 20 times, three times a day. Within 2-3 weeks the numbness of my wrist, along the side of my hand, my pinky, ring and middle fingers was completely gone and never came back. The cause of the CTS was when I used the keypad of my laptop instead of using a mouse. I create a lot photoshop which takes many hours every day and the repetition caused the CTS. Thank you doctor!
I would check out one of Taro's videos on sciatica. You could just focus on a sciatica focused video until things settle down and then try this or you could use that video as a warm up to this video. Try it out and see if it works for you!
I tried you did what did and i will so foot lighted going to keep working legs glutes with a staff. thank you for altering my breathing reset on the constraining fibromyalgia resetting. friend. nick
When lying down I found my sternum was almost locked into place. I definitely couldn't move it upwards with any force but then I remembered to try very small movements. Small movements were possible and I felt my upper back and head moving ever so slightly. I have included this movement in my yoga practice and now have a better range of movement in my upper back. After the first two times I had some pain the next day and I'm guessing I was moving some parts of my spine that had not been moved for a very long time. I need to remind myself that small, slow movements are the way to go. Thanks Taro for this lesson.
I felt a great difference not only in my body but also my mind and since the two are connected it makes a lot of sense. Thank you Taro, you prove that mindfullness really does help!
I've noticed shoppers in the grocery store will lift one leg, resting that foot on a bar of a shopping cart when waiting in line for the cashier. In addition, they usually will shift the weight of their upper body onto their arms that are on the cart's handle bar. It doesn't look attractive so I try to avoid that stance, but it may have its benefits.
Wow. The kneeling cat pose at the end is something totally new to me. It's incredible how locked up I am on one side. Thanks Taro. Can't like these videos enough.
Just want to say THANK YOU! After YEARS of trying I have watched some of your videos and the free masterclass. For the first time I'm ACTUALLY starting to notice/become aware of my unconscious clenching patterns ❤I'm in the hospital with multiple severe chronic illnesses however my hope is to eventually regain enough cognitive and physical functioning etc to be able to enroll in one of your programs. I struggle alot with technology and my phone so I'm immensely grateful for the easy access on RU-vid 🙏
Wow this is pure gold! I do so much exercise since my chronic pain began, and don't get me wrong, it helps, it's a slow process, but this gave me some instant relief and could feel my imbalance strengthen. This feels like it undoes the years of sitting on a wallet, and tmi, but always hiking the same side hip when wiping after a deuce lol.
I just did the series a second time through, and I was able to lift my arm an additional *two feet*! So happy about that. Thank you so much. Next, I want to improve the way my arm lifts to the side, so I'll search for another of your videos for that. Miracle!!!
