You did a great job with this install!! I would have screwed it up for sure😂😂 I use a tank bag that straps to my crash bars, it’s been working well for me so far
definately 1 for me to pass on, too many opportunities to make fantastic errors! 🤣 I break out into a cold sweat fitting the screen protector on mt TFT - good job well done mate
Nice idea, hope it will not cause issues to the tank plastic cover. For me, I use my TRK502x on off-road on rocky roads and tough trails. So, I believe the shaking and movement of the bag might damage/break the cheap plastic tank's cover.
Thanks bud, it's been on there during the trip from the west of England to Belgium and back, still fixed solid but i will keep an eye on it. I only use a small tank bag and it's just for document so no real weight in it. I would be nervous if I took a big tankbag and filled it up though. I did it because I jate straps accross the tank because they always mark the paintwork. 👍
@@wsmv Glade to hear that mate. For me I use the bag with the straps. TBH, I don't care a lot about the marks, I use my TRK502x off-road so, that is nothing comparing to be scratched by some trees' branches, flying rocks, or when the bike fall 😅😅
Good idea! Especially for the long rides. I couldn't do this though. I get all never thinking about scratching up my tank! 😂. I don't even like putting anything on my tail either! 🤷. It usually a backpack or nothing..... usually.
Luckily the trk has a black plastic trim around the fuel cap so no paintwork was harmed 🤣🤣 I hate wearing back packs on the bike, I've had one open on me once and I lost everything, didn't realise until I got home 🤦♂️
Nice job of fitting the tank ring and making the vid. We use SW Motech tank rings and bags but its the same issue with them as they use the filler cap screws to secure the ring. Interesting to hear how you get on with this. My only concerns are if it gets super hot and the glue softens up. Loving the packing priorities 😂
The glue thing could be an issue in extreme heat, but with it being behind a big screen and it's a small bag I'm hoping there will be little or no stress on the fixing 🤞

Hi, the plastic ring is a standard type for all bikes, it's the fitting ring that varies but there isn't one for the trk because there are no bolts or screws to fit it with. The plastic ring will come with the givi tankbag when you buy it . Hope that helps
Hi martello, thank you for watching, I don't have a part number because the plastic fitting ring that you need comes with the tank bag itself. Then you buy a fitting kit for each bike. But as there is no kit available for the trk I modified the original plastic ring and bonded to the tank. Hope that helps 👍
Oddly I was thinking about this for my little 125 as I've got the same problem, but would it come off without damaging the paintwork on the tank if you needed to sell your bike as original as you got it? Cheers for the tip though 👌
Hi mate, the trk luckily has black plastic around the tank and I don't know how it would affect paintwork 🤔 What I would say is sugru is a good product and loosens off easily with a hair drier. Hope it works if you try it mate 👍
I changed the bike in December but it was still solid then, after a trip to Belgium and back and the west coast of Ireland and back. Only a small tank bag and I only used for documents and camera accessories. Sugru is a brilliant product that I've used to fix camera mounts to Helmets before that have seen very high speeds with no issues whatsoever. I'm happy that the tank bag fitment is a good one 👍
🤣🤣 honestly mate, it took me 30 mins, in fact it took me 6 times longer to edit this video 🤦♂️ If you've got a little dremel cutter it makes it so much easier, and if it goes wrong the fixing rings are only about £10 😁👍
