.... I had a Bengal many years ago. He was a breeder's cat, neutered, and left for adoption at a local cat shelter, where I adopted him (or he adopted me, whatever!) I brought him home and introduced him to the resident cats, a chocolate point Siamese and a grey Tabby, both female (and spayed). They all got along together so wonderfully, and I always kept a loaded squirt gun handy, just in case things got out of hand!
Manuel Schneider That's great to hear as you never know how they will get along with each other. We had concerns when we introduced Rocket a little later on but most of the time it is ok. Bengals like to wrestle anyway :) We sometimes see Bengals appear locally for adoption but it is rare.
Yes I can imagine he is hehe! What weight is he do you know? Our snow Rocket is about 6kg and seems huge compared to the girls but it sounds like yours is hefty! I no longer have floating shelves around the home thanks to Rocket!
I had no idea what you might have been referring to haha but yes that's an old pole from 1910 era probably, now has all of the telephone connections to the houses around me. Saw a squirrel running along it the other day. Pixel had something to say about that, watching from underneath :)
Hi Emmie, it's quite funny how they react! I'm packing to move house so currently there are always bits of brown packing tape around and occasionally it gets stuck to paws and tails haha
Aw thank you! They've been especially happy of late, probably because we are at home so much now. At my work desk I'm often unable to move while someone is on my lap :)
Aww thank you, that's really nice to hear. She doesn't like being on camera anymore, stroppy teenager! Not sure if you've seen the Noisy Kitties video but if you have, part 2 will be online soon. More noise and mayhem :)
Thank you, I appreciate your comments! I have so much footage to go through but I struggle with time - wish I didn't have to work, I'd be posting a lot more!
My one Bengal Sadie hates when you put stickers on her back but Hannah is like sushi she will swat and bat it out of my hands then steal it and want me to chase her
I have 3 rescue cats ranging in age from 8 to nearly 16. They are active, funny, sometimes problematic and many times the most engaging and funny things in my old white guy 73 year old life. I understand why some would love to own a Bengal, Sahara or two, My cats reduce my anxiety, blood pressure, my use of Xanax and gin, just as well as an exotic. Thanks anyway
Cats can be excellent for reducing stress and I think it has helped me too. The risk with a Bengal (or at least multiple Bengals!) is that they can be a handful and might add to stress. But, generally it's lovely to have them nearby, talking to you and being affectionate. We did set off to obtain some rescue cats but my address at the time precluded them (plus I'm allergic believe it or not) hence the Bengal route. Interestingly a couple friends get affected by them when they visit but I never did. Thanks for dropping by and best wishes to your 3!
I clicked for the cats and stayed for your home. Its lovely and very well accommodated for the Bengal's. I don't think people appreciate how much space one needs let alone three 👍🇬🇧❤
Aww thank you! We've actually added three large wooden sections around the home since then as well. The cats love those and at some point I will post something showing the use and the construction (I'm hopelessly behind!). They do love to climb and although I'm moving home soon we will be taking the frames and using/adding to them in the new place. Hopefully it will inspire others to do the same as Bengals do appreciate that sort of thing. Thank you for your comment though, it made me smile when I read it :)
Thank you! I'd quite like more poles but they're a bit tedious to build. I'd love the walkways along ceilings but it involves knocking holes through walls and we might be moving house so i don't think they next owner would appreciate that :)
They are crazy aren't they Jake? Even the slightest sound sets them off :) The other day I recorded Rocket running in from outside when he heard the lid pop on some biscuits tupperware hehe
@@HotRocketBengalCats sorry about the late reply but yes bengal cats can be crazy when they hear a food container open or when getting fed as my two bengal girls yell at you when you feed them
We've had a lot of seagulls around here recently and they keep perching nearby to some bins. Pixel & Sushi get frustrated not being able to reach them hehe.
Hehe thats a good idea as Bengals can be quite demanding! I now I'm promoting owning a Bengal but uploading these videos but it's good to read up on what they like as often they do need a bit of space and a fair amount of attention and toys/activities. Ours don't really scratch anything but it can be an issue for some.
I own Savannah's and they are slightly less rambunctious than Bengals. Ultimately, what you put into your pet is what you get out. If you have the space, time, and patience, they all make amazing pets.
Thank you! Rocket and Sushi are happy and healthy, 10 and 11yrs old now, where does all the time go... Sadly we lost Pixel to cancer 18 months ago and as it happens I shed a tear for her today while talking to a friend. Miss her so. But that's life and it's still not quiet around these parts, with Sushi around yelling her little head off :)
Love the video.... one of the Bengal cats has a very airy meow... like more air than meow comes out when he tries to meow. I thought that was maybe unique to my Bengal but I guess not. Its so cute when he does the air meow. I don't know how else to explain it. Sometimes he can get a decent meow out but sometimes its almost all air lol. They are such smart beautiful creatures.
Thank you! That was probably Pixel - she makes that sound a lot and it's very cute. Usually it is because she has spotted something interesting such as a bird, bug, nearby cat etc. She literally just spotted her sister hiding and did it a few times in front of me hehe
Blue eyes are very startling on cats aren't they? His pupils are different to the girls though, not sure if it's a snow thing. Keep meaning to look it up but his are round. what about your two girls?
our 2 bengals are getting very very good at getting into places they should not be like getting stuck and jumping onto things but thats bengals for you always getting into things they shouldent be but they are still little bundles of joy
I know, it finally happened! I did a walk with Pixel at the end of March, not sure if you saw that one too. Anyway, a new boy?! I take it everything is still OK with your previous kitty..? I'm sure they will get along nicely. Nice to hear from you Jennifer, hope you're doing well.
Hot Rocket Bengal Cats thank u for replying! I did see the video of pixel walking, and loved it as I love all ur videos 😻 I unfortunately had to give my precious kitten back to the old breeder cuz he got super sick just like my griff did. So it took me months of searching for the right new breeder and kitten. Finally found him when he was 4 wks old. I can bring him home the beginning of July. I hope u continue to make more videos, I love seeing all 3 of ur babies 😻 hope all is well with u too
Oh no, how come he got sick? What happened? Good news regarding finding a new breeder though. What colour did you go for in the end, brown rosetted? Yes i'm working on more videos, trying to do one a month but life's events and tasks get in the way :)
Hot Rocket Bengal Cats he seemed to have belly issues from the moment I brought him home. But then when one night when we had to go to vet ER cuz he is throwing up constantly with a fever of 104 n dehydrated, he stayed like that for days...so breeder came n picked him up n took over treatment n cost. Still not truly sure what is/was wrong with him. I just didn't have the money to take care of yet another sick kitten from the same breeder. So I waited and searched n finally found the right one. Yes I went with a brown rosetted again. Well right now he's spotted. His spots will open up as he ages. He carries the melanistic gene. He's adorable! Wish I could share pics on here. Might have to share on fb with u. So glad ur trying to do one a month! I just absolutely love all 3 of ur little boogers. Lol 😻😹
Aww, the poor thing. I wonder if something genetic is going on there if it has happened again? I hope the kitten was ok in the end. For the new kitten will you get insurance, is it affordable in the US? Feel free to post the photos on FB :)
my bengal girls are like rocket they hide when they hear thunder but while i light fireworks outside and they are in the house looking out the window they could care less in fact im pretty sure they watch them
Hi Jake! Sushi definitely isn't keen on fireworks but Pickle & Rocket don't mind so much. We make sure other sounds are on so she doesn't get too stressed out. She growls a lot!
oure bengal girls love to chase flies around they also love to swat things out of youre hand when playing with them they like to watch the birds at the feeders and chatter at them when one comes to the feeder they start meowing at the bird and still sometimes think they can run and get them but run into the window
my bengal loves tuna so much , he won't eat other foods like beef he will drink chicken 🐔 water from a can of chicken but won't eat it ?_? ahhh got to love the bengal
Tuna is popular here too! We only give it to them every so often due to the mercury and then only the stuff that is in spring water as I believe the oils and brine are bad for them.
@@HotRocketBengalCats yeah I get tuna that comes from a health food store I eat it to but its mostly for my cat same with the chicken I give him the water from it its from spring water same as the tuna , so I feel safe for me and my cat :)
Your kitty playground looks like the one we built for our five kitties just ours us a bit bigger so they can jump and run around we dont let then wonder outside as we live near an active rail line that connects toronto ontario with mountreal quebec and there is a station here in kingston ontario Canada but becuse a lot of freight trains use the area we thought it was the best thing befor we got cats to have a kitty cat outside playground
Hi Jake, I have the same problem here with roads! I might be moving house this year so I really hope they can then go out and explore with much less danger. I know Pixel wants to for sure. It's good to be safe though, especially when you have so many kitties now :)
rocket looks and sounds like my 2 bengal girls well he looks like them in the face but not in coat colar they have brown with beutiful spots on there backs
I think I sealed the floors so well that we never saw mice again after we first moved in :) So we have two brown girls and one snow boy but he (Rocket) is now living with my step parents in a rural location. We started to get tension between them a couple of years ago and were unable to solve it so he now leads a stress-free life with lots to explore and I still get to see him!
Hi there, we have high walls in the back garden area but I had to put some netting up as our area has busy roads and if they could wander it would be asking for trouble. It's a spacious house due to it's age but really I want to move to a quiet rural area so that they can go out and explore. Pixel would like that, Sushi doesn't care much for the cold haha
I have a very beautiful F6 he is 12 weeks now. I have him on a 3 ft leash when he is outside and not getting off it till he understands commands. This is amazing that it works for them so well! Only reason I am worried is because of the road in Front!!!
I'm sorry I missed this message! I'm happy to say everything is going well and Pixel is almost back to normal, they are both playing and wrestling again and for some odd reason they are both talking differently! They have become quite squealy when wrestling! Not sure what that is about but we are just grateful that things are getting back on track. It was all a bit scary last month but they quite like their new home :)
fionna wheatley Hi! Yes I built that one myself out of a 3m pipe and about 150m of sisal rope. It was very tiring to wrap :) Kitties loved it though, was well worth doing!
i love how bengals are sutch gorguose clutzes sometimes hannah did the same thing rocket did when she tried to jump up on the table last night as she did she slipped off abd and fell off but wasent hurt and landed on her feet it also was not that high up but she did have qiute a funny look on her face kind of like she was saying well i screwed up on that one
i like the part were pixel is getting a drink from that water on that tarp have you ever seen a video if a cat drinking in slow motin when a cat drinks it actually will curl its tonge to get the water into its mouth. i have a slow mo feature on my phone i might see if i can catch this to prove that theory right
Does one of your bengals have a heart condition? I noticed you gave it a pill in the ham. I am asking since we are about to adopt one that was found and no one wants it at the animal shelter because of his heart condition. But for us the medicine is not that expensive and we want to give it a good home and lots of love. I am just a bit afraid if I have to pay some extra attention with playing. I don't want him to be in discomfort.. Because I know he will want to play much too due to him being a bengal.
Hi there, no heart condition but I think that tablet was down to a urinary infection at the time. Rocket was a little stressed and we had to feed him the tablets for a little while. They do enjoy their play and will often get very out of breath if we play with the feather chasing toy during the warmer months. I would suggest trying some less frantic games first and see how it goes. Do you know what sort of heart condition it is?
