I am a Maharashtrian and bumped into your channel accidentally. But I m glad I did. You guys are amazing. In fact that would be an understatement. I can't probably explain how much I love watching your videos. I watch them repeatedly
“Did we miss out on anything?” Is that even a question? Dude, you are bong eats, you never miss out on anything. What a detailed video! And that premiere pro timeline in the background is so satisfying (coming from a film editing student)! Thanks a ton for this video.
I always wonder how you both manage to do all this things after your daily work.... nice to see you both . I was one of your old subscriber and I see every episodes of your channel . Living in san fransisco and having the same love for bengal is really wonderous...love both of you...
Thank you for making such an essential video on Bengali Kitchen Setup. This is a see and must-have, especially for those living outside of Bengal and abroad. This is a heavenly gift for Bengalis living overseas and carving for Bengali food.
The problem is with SYNTHETIC msg , not the natural form of MSG which is present in some veg and milk , as you say . Heat expeller pressed oil from vegetables are poison but natural oils from seeds and nuts are natural !
The way you guys are taking Bengali food to the global podium, it’s remarkable 👍🏻 Thank you for that list guys. Setting up my bong kitchen in New Zealand just got easier! Much love 😊
By cooking channels all we understand is different kind of dishes and all. But this thing which you have uploaded is not only extremely helpful and artistic but also increases the value that we get from your side. No doubt you are my favourite cooking channel as you not only provide info but vastly educate viewers like us and open another viewing dimension which we never knew existed.. ALL THE BEST... KEEP ROCKING...!!!
I'm not a hardcore passionate cook.. but I absolutely love this channel because how informative and passionate they are about what they are doing.. super proud of my fellow bongs here..
I'm from Bangladesh And To Be Honest I Love Love Love How You Guys Add Different Dimensions To Your Videos And Put Lots Pf Efforts In It. Didi Ebong Dada, Salam Janacchi Tomader ❤️ Ebhabei Amader Shahajjo Korey Pashey Theko ❤️
I feel like I have learned so much from a single video , such informative video , huge respect for this channel , this video is like a well written summary of the culinary world , love from BANGLADESH
I live alone in Jharkhand for work now. Have stocked up my pantry with almost all the things you mentioned. People had kinda joked that my pantry is 'too stocked' for someone living alone and cooking just for herself, but this video gave me much-needed validation.
See. We used to while away our time watching RU-vid videos together during sleepovers back when we both were not 'migrants', and now we are miles apart but watching the 'same' RU-vid videos and talking to each other via millions of people :p
@@sampreetisen3093 hey..i m from jharkhand and currently living in delhi..i have stocked up almost every thing in my pantry and people always say you cook so much..but i really miss the taste of eastern side as the north indian food preparation is very different..
Amazing videos. We have almost everything in our stock now. I was wondering if you guys would possibly suggest some good recipies with the white fishes like cod and mackerel. Or some Bengali version of salmon. I have found big sea bass tastes almost like ilish in a paturi. Please let me know what can be done with these bideshi fishes to turn them deshi.
Unbelievably good vdo. I just found it today and sent it to my son who is just married and moved to his rented apartment in Philadelphia. He was asking me what to buy and stock up for indian cooking.
Such an informative video. My husband is european and he enjoyed it a lot. He always keeps asking me what is what and finally i got a comprehensive video to educate him on bengali pantry. Love you guys!
Can you make a video about your editing workflow.. Your videos are of top-notch quality. I want to know some editing advice from you both. Thanks for the great content again.
I am Gujurati and married to a maharashtrian. . We run a home concept restaurant in Tbilisi Georgia... I am very impressed with the way the videos guide thru the dish. Very descriptive and detailed. I myself am a nutrion graduate and find many tips that are uncommon and those can be shared only by ur elders.. On the rice gobindobhog rice there is one more can be added that is ambemohar it is a small grained rice but has very delicious flavour good for khichadi kheer and so on
Do you guys have superhuman powers!? 😍 I mean kvbe ato entertaining plus ato detail a bolen apnara! Saturday morning uthe jkhn thumbnail a apnader duijon k dkhlm, I was sure that man this is gonna be something next level! Tai cha nia bose prlm and I wasn't disappointed AT ALL! Much love and respect to Saptarshi sir and Insiya ma'am ❤️
I think just a "thank you" is not enough. This is not just a video, its a bengoli culinary essential guidebook. I don't know how many times I've watched it & I think every that person who loves cooking should watch this. I've organized my kitchen pantry according to your guidance & I just LOVE it ! Its like you did this to make even a very difficult thing cooking look interesting & artistic. ধন্যবাদ দেবার ভাষা নেই । শুধু বলব "you guys are awesome"

You guys helped a novice like me who could only boil water atleast as of now cook the basics for a hungry stomach and even some expert dishes like chilli chiken. Thank you guys.
Found this channel just two days ago while scrolling youtube. I must say hats off to you boss. I love to cook and this channel has very clear cut instructions which I love the most. Really incredible job done and thank you for this channel.
My girlfriend suggested me this channel. Since I started watching, I was overwhelmed. Very detailed and well tailored video. Essential for beginners like me. Love both of yours work.👍👍
Such a lovely and comprehensive video. You covered so much ground!! Just because you asked at the end of your video about what you missed, I came up with the following list: In spices: - white pepper (shah morich) - camphor (karpur) - anardana whole/anardana powder In nuts and fruits: - pistachio (pista) In dried herbs: - dried curry leaves - dried basil In pulses/lentils: - kidney beans (rajma) In cereals: - sabu dana - oats In beverage section: - milk powder In baking section: - yeast - powdered sugar It was just the outcome of a fun exercise, where I was simply tallying stuff present in my kitchen with your list ;-)
I couldnt love you more. Being an avid cooking enthusiast and just recently researching into our Indian cooking, ur channel is one of my most favorite go-to(s). I love the simplicity of ur presentation n those sweet BGMs. Additionally being an Odia i connect more to ur dishes than others. Bengali dishes r almost similar to ours n the whole pantry here is a common theme in the entire Eastern cuisine. Great work. Blessings xoxo.
আপনাদের video অনেক দিন ধরেই দেখেছি। খুব ভালো লাগে। Bengali recipe গুলো অনেক গুলোর নাম জানা ছিল কিন্তু কীভাবে করতে হয় জানা ছিল না। Very very useful for us। আর বেশি জরুরি যাদের ঠাকুমা নেই। আপনাদের দেখার খুব ইচ্ছা ছিল সেটাও হয়ে গেল। ❤️Thank you so much for your valuable videos n your dedication. Best of luck for future...
This is exactly what I had been looking for so long. I only found things catered to a western audience, which wasn't very helpful for me. I'm a college student, and living with my dad and brother and oh so tired of eating food cooked by the maid. Thanks so much for the comprehensive series, guys. Much appreciated.
Keralite in Canada and I am shook!! Love your content, thank you for the detailed explanation, that bit about rice, aged or not, has totally blown my mind!! thank you guys!!
Just got married and I am setting up the kitchen, this video will be really helpful! I would be really grateful if you also link the different kinds of storage containers, plates and cutleries that you have used in your kitchen?
Very methodical. Nice way to classify and build up your pantry inventory. A relief to always be prepared for any fresh or necessary ingredients and not be startled. Amazing.
I am Maharashtrian and I cook more of fast food than regular meals. I am a pure vegetarian. Now I am far away from cooking as I stay in shared accomodation that has common mess. Being worked in the kitchen from my childhood, I see this video as a complete project on its on. They have added subtitles, English and Bangla labels, amazing videography, video examples where ingredients can be used, brilliant classification and every possible detail to the video. You guys are just brilliant. May be some storyteller types who even has awesome skills about video, writting and presentation skills. I don't remember when I was this impressed last time. Actually, I have seen your jhal muri video twice that too accidentally and came across this video. Not sure what I am doing here as I don't even want to setup a kitchen but I am impressed. Your kitchen will be immortal forever. You guys have what it takes. Genuine people who knows what they are doing and giving their best. Total respect to your efforts. ♥️
Sotti bolte ki...time ta dekhe vabchhilm j puro ta dekhar patience thakbe to amar???!!! But when you started ki vabe j puro time ta kete gelo Bujhtei parlam na....Really tomra best...Insiya & Saptorshi rocking....etto sundor presentation just amake bendhe rakhle tomra...Thank you....STAY BLESSED..
Can't believe how similar this is to my mother's pantry. Never realized I grew in the middle of so many exotic ingredients. Excellent video, great effort and accurate descriptions! Thank you!
I also stock up on shukto powder in my pantry which my mom makes for me n sends over !! Really useful list btw n I’m heading over to ur website for a printout 😁
You guys are just amazing. I mean being a bengali, food is something we live for and you guys have added a different dimension to the whole cuisine altogether. I have made mishti pulao and mangsho curry with the help of your videos and trust me they were amazing. I wanted to share some pictures but by the time the food is served, we would be so hungry because of the aromas that clicking a picture wouldn't even cross our mind then. Thank you Saptarshi and Insiya for giving us easy and appetising dishes. Tomader filter coffee r video ta dekha r por I too bought a coffee filter and we love having filter coffee. Also made the coffee house egg sandwich. Mind blowing it was. 😋 Keep doing this amazing work. Love you guys. 😘❤👍🏻
this video is like God sent for me... I have just recently set up a new kitchen in my house and am planning to convert from a special occasion "chef" to a regular cook.. so this series would be like THE most useful thing ever.. Thanks a ton...looking forward to the next one.. (I had by mistake posted this comment in the Q&A video. hence reposting it here. )
Methi - both ground and seed form is also very important for several dry veggies. It has similar function as Hing, which makes heavy food easy on stomach.
Your meticulous research, years of experience, immense hard work, and attention to detail are shining in this video. So so glad to have found your channel!
I love your channel. Everything about it 😍 I am a home cook and I have tried few of your recipes. This is an awesome helpful video for home cooks. I will not say you have missed something but I love to store these as well in my pantry like honey, milk powder, pesta badam, garlic powder, pepper powder, biryani masala, jordar rong, powdered sugar, lachcha shemai etc. In Bangladesh we mostly use Chinigura Rice to cook flavored rices. All these actually depends on someone's cooking preferences. But you covered almost everything we need in a Bengali pantry. I wish you both a very successful journey with this beautiful channel 👍 🎉❤
What a remarquable work!!! I am really impressed and thank you for sharing this with us. I love Indian cuisine but don’t know a lot from bengal cuisine...even if most Indian restaurants in Paris are actually hiring bengal chefs :) I will certainly enjoy cooking your recepiez, I have all basics and some expert et ninja item witch makes e proud when I saw it 😅. Concerning this video, I wonder why Caraway seeds are not in your list of spices :) Thanks a lot
You guys are so thorough and so beautifully presented and edited everything! I have recently come across your channel and have already become a huge fan of you folks! Also, I am a foodie and like to stock up on everything. So glad that other than gobindhobhog chal(not available in Indianapolis) and vanilla bean I have everything including that biriyani essence from Kolkata. So yay!💖💖
it's weird as being a Bengali myself, most of the Ninja level stuff is filled in my kitchen. But the video is very good and the division of the items is also amazing. A lot of hard work went into it for sure! Keep up the good work BongEats!!
Nice to see you wearing puchka t shirt 😆 Trust me being in India i believe most of non bengalis might not know as much as you guys have shown in video. Kudos on your great work not by just making bengali dishes also showing the bengali kitchen set up.
I am kinda jealous although cant stop feeling excited, this extremely sorted out pantry list is like a documentary, i love cooking, but this is blowing my mind right now. Thank you for this, im glad👍👌
I have really no word to write about your awesome creativity and honest aim, I fell I am watching a documentary on Bengali food and lifestyle, bcz food is related with lifestyle.
This is surely one of the best work done on Bengali cuisine . Kudos to your dedication The way you gathered all those informations together and organised it, is just remarkable 🙏
Thanks a lot for making such informative videos ... For a bengali who is not born and brought up in west bengal doesn't know much it is really helpful .....
Excellent 👌👌🏽☺️☺️ my son is staying in NY he always follows your video recipes very easy to cook for him my daughter in law and my son both are v ery very happy I appreciate your help stay well ♥️ God bless you enjoy your Puja 👍👍👍
