They can't pay Tee because the time period has passed. They would need to wait until the next signing period. They could tag Tee again next season with the intention of offering a contract.
The best they can do now. Is to come up with an incentive latent contract for his last two years. Okay you want this type of money you have to produce these type of numbers. Because I am tired of seeing them give in to these players and give them all this money and then they go in that first year of that three or four or five year contract and get injured and now we are stuck paying them. It has to be a win-win situation for both parties. Don't they have injury insurance? Does anybody know if they have injury insurance for football players
As a New England native Bengal fan, Belichick was so lucky to have Brady take market-friendly deals so they could sign others. However, he NEVER gave Brady the weapons he wanted for the long term. Imagine if he did? they would have three more championships. Take what he says with a grain of salt. The New NFL has higher salaries and guaranteed money. Chase needs to get paid, but it needs to happen as a signing bonus this year that adds money on the back on the back end. Some points here are correct. He has 2 years left, not one. There has to be give and take. Mike Brown needs to work to get him to be complicit in this season. There is a middle ground--If he gets CeeDee money--that's doable, but he has to be honoring the current years/money--AND he gets a bump starting next year. These WR's making insane money
Well they paid burrow before his rookie contract was up. Now pay Jamar, because he’s not going to play his best, fear of injury. Just like Jessie bates didn’t play his best without a contract. The bengals know they need chase and he’s the future. So sign him, it will only cost more if you wait. Burrow didn’t take any discounts to keep anybody like Brady and mahomes. The ones with multiple superbowls.
Who said it's a super bowl season.....? I think that's what the players that want to get paid are banking on. Hasn't been confirmed until they actually perform (without getting injured).
I don't understand the Bengals fans sweating this Chase stuff) The Bengals can keep Chase for 5 seasons WITHOUT a new deal.... - 2024 (This one) - 2025 (5th year option) - 2026 (Franchise #1) - 2027 (Franchise #2) - 2028 (Franchise #3)
So fun fact the franchise tag is the average of the top 5 players at the said position. Soooooo in 2 years the average might be 40 million. Which would make the first tag 40 million, second tag 60 million and the 3rd tag 80 million. 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓.
There are 2 reasons chase wants the bag and wants it now. 1. He has a young kid with an Instagram model in '23 so he started paying child support lately 2. He is the biggest fish his agent/agency has. The next best player they represent is zek Elliot so you know they want as much money off of chases deal as possible
@@REDDIZREAL10plus Tee has no kids (yet) no child support and no drama so look how he handles it he comes in and just wants to ball but tee will be having a kid in the next year so he will be pressing more next year
I agree we should trade chase with the picks we get draft a rookie wide receiver the best one available or in free agency and then sign tee higgins to a longterm contract and let him stay his career in Cincinnati if higgins is healthy he can be a number 1 wide receiver and we have Burton now with Charlie jones yoshi Irwin higgins gesiki will ball out at TE and in the slot he's never had an elite wb throwing to him now he does so he should ball out this year WHO DEY!!!
Jamar Chase needs to be a man and fulfill his contract the very thing that he signed up for and go out and play and I guarantee you that Cincinnati will pay him handsomely.
What if he goes out a suffers a bad injury ? Then all the money that we all know he’s worth is out the window. He doing the right thing bengals organization are just some weirdos. Little shit like this is gonna hold us back
These players make life changing money anyway an it's sad they cry around missing training camp and some games because they can't get what they want when they want it God chase still has 14 million I believe left on his contract do you know how many people lives on alot less it's ridiculous how these players ack
This is something I have to disagree with. Owners make billions in profits and honestly, the NFL is harsh as it is. If you get injured in your ankle or knee as a WR, depending on the severity and recovery, that NFL will have no problem with cutting that WR or trade him or offer much, much less on the contract deal. My overall point is, let's not be one sided. NFL teams are known to be shady when it comes to deals and the zero hesitation of cutting a player due to injury or "its just business" but its an issue when a player wants more money? Nah, completely one sided. Get your money while you can Jamar Chase.
@@DblONo7wanting more is fine but it's all relative right? Asking $40m annual average is kinda unrealistic when the best WR went much less, if this was next year and after his 4th season might seem reasonable. But this season is a nah bro. It's both ways Had he outperformed Jettas, which he didn't then it could be debatable.
Either you want a Superbowl or you don't. The time is now pay the effing money. You owe it to us lifetime half century fans. GET THE RING IT WILL PAY 100 FOLD.
