This will be a lot, but it’s my opinion and I’ll want you to hear it through. So personally, I feel that because we play against the Patriots I do not think that Joe Burrow playing in the preseason is necessary. I honestly think that there is no sense in risking getting our franchise injured just so he can get a little bit of rust off I think our actual week one Will be a good warm-up for Joe Burrow yes he may be a little rusty, but I have no doubt on my mind still that we will come on top in week one and as long as no catastrophe happens, we will be ready to play against the Chiefs in week two and as far as Chase goes, yes him missing gave some valuable reps to the rook, but I still really hope that we get a deal done soon because even if Jamar Chase plays in week one, I do not want him to do it with zero practice this is just my opinion. Please let me know how you feel about it.
Meh, our 2nd/3rd team has been playing against starting/2nd team players since the 2nd quarter of the first preseason game. Burton has looked great and our defense has played up to the competition. I'm happy with the preseason
positives: - the offensive line as a whole played pretty good......and that includes jackson carman lol - the run game performed way better than the first 2 preseason games - charlie jones had a good return - the defense did good for the most part against the colts starters - jordan battle pick 6 - jermaine burton continues to show out........if I wasn't already convinced that he should be WR3, I am convinced now - erick all did pretty good - cedric johnson made some impact plays negatives: - offense continued to struggle at putting up points - daijahn anthony wiped away a crucial sack with an inexcusable penalty on 2nd & long - the bengals had 2 huge chances at stopping the colts on 3rd down to get the ball back on the last defensive drive and they failed both times - I don't know if I should call this a negative but it was sad to see lombardi go on the field only for kneel downs, especially considering the offense didn't score a point until the 4th quarter
Just wanted to say what Zac Taylor did to Rocky Lombardi was fucking "BUSH LEAGUE" ! You bring a guy in trying to make an NFL roster in the final 2 minutes of your LAST pre - season game...not to let him show potential future employers what he can do in the 2 minute drill....but to TAKE A KNEE ???? If I were Lombardi I wouldn't have done it...I'd have went back to the sidelines, given Taylor my helmet and told him to "SHOVE IT UP HIS ASS !" He had nothing to lose....Taylor was gonna cut him anyway and Lombardi's GOT a UFL contract....I hope he shows out in that league and makes an NFL roster next year ! There's one big issue with your thought process....the maximum number of void years that can be added to a contract is '5 years minus the amount of years left on the contract'. That's because signing bonuses are only allowed to be prorated over 5 years. That's why you only see void years set up on 4 year contracts or smaller.

People sleep on the Rams EVERY year ! I'm a Bengals fan...but Stafford is criminally underrated. I believe he has either the most or 2nd most ( behind Rodgers ) late comeback wins among active QB's. I wouldn't put Philly or the other NFC teams in there simply because they're NFC teams and the Chiefs have to go thru the AFC...and I don't see it. I think Buffalo falls off a bit, I think the Ratbirds finish in the AFC North basement. I think Cincy and Houston are right there. I think a real big AFC darkhorse is Cleveland....IF they get DeShaun Watson to get back to form AND if they get Chubb back full strength at some point. I think Atlanta could make some noise in the NFC as well.
