I hate the Chiefs too but no way do I hate them more than other AFCN teams. I'd rather see the Chiefs win the next 5 SBs in a row than to see the Ravens, Steelers or Browns win even one
I said all last season that the Ratbirds were PRETENDERS NOT CONTENDERS ! They benefitted greatly from their opponents injuries ! If you look deeper into that "impressive" W - L record, ALL of their losses came to BACKUP QB's....and a number of their wins came against backups, soon to be backups or QB's playing hurt ( Burrow played the 1st matchup on ONE leg and only managed a half before getting hurt in the second matchup, Lawrence was coming off a bad injury as well ) Add to that, they benefitted greatly from bad calls The punt return in OT against the Rams there were THREE blocks in the back with NO flags. Now, as far as Lamar choking...it's kinda the "Chicken or the Egg" thing....the Ravens are built to play from ahead...so...do the Ravens play that style because Lamar chokes...or does Lamar choke because they play that way and he doesn't have a lot of experience coming from behind ? Seriously ! Tell me where Lamar and the Ratbirds come from behind late ( down 14 points or more late 3rd qtr on ) are ? Mahomes has them, Rodgers has them, Allen has them, Stafford has them, Burrow has them...all GREAT QB's have them....where's Jackson's ? I'll tell you who they reminded me of last season. Remember that Steeler team a few years ago that started 11 - 0...doing it basically with "Smoke & Mirrors "? And I said at the time they were the WORST 11 - 0 team I'd ever seen...and they got demolished in the playoffs ? THAT'S who that Ratbirds team reminded me of ! And finally, these "experts" are smoking crack ! The Ratbirds lost FIFTEEN players...and are THIRD in the power rankings ??? They're a threat to win it all ??? They lost 3 O - Linemen, the heart & soul of their defense, their top interceptor, their rushing TD leader, the Kick Returner and J'adeveon Clowney & Odell Beckham...and all they really did was sign Derrick Henry. Henry is a great back...but he can't block for himself or play defense...Ratbirds will be in the AFC North basement this season !
What made the Bengals so good just a few years ago was their defense. Last season the Bengals were ranked 31st in overall defense. 28th vs the pass and 26th vs the run and now DJ Reader is gone. Everyone talks about their offense and rightly so. KC had the 2nd overall defense. They have reloaded their receiving corps. Everyone is completely ignoring these facts, not opinions.
People sleep on the Rams EVERY year ! I'm a Bengals fan...but Stafford is criminally underrated. I believe he has either the most or 2nd most ( behind Rodgers ) late comeback wins among active QB's. I wouldn't put Philly or the other NFC teams in there simply because they're NFC teams and the Chiefs have to go thru the AFC...and I don't see it. I think Buffalo falls off a bit, I think the Ratbirds finish in the AFC North basement. I think Cincy and Houston are right there. I think a real big AFC darkhorse is Cleveland....IF they get DeShaun Watson to get back to form AND if they get Chubb back full strength at some point. I think Atlanta could make some noise in the NFC as well.
I am so happy that the regular season is just 14 days away--finally we will have a reason for people to keep crowing or to STFU already, and this means everyone, myself included, that keep promoting their teams. I have little hope that people are willing to change opinion--people are stiff in their team and will not listen to opposition. Hopefully the actual games can give some clarity.
I believe the Bengals can be a playoff team if everything comes together. Not sold on their offensive line especially against good/great def. fronts. (Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Eagles) Defense last year was erratic, just could not stop the run allowing 4.7 yds per carry seen no upgrade maybe they figure it out. Secondary is middle of the pack nothing stands out; Von Bell is a ? Geno is average Battle looks promising, corners DJ looks like he needs another year or two, Cam shows potential we will see, Hilton is a great slot corner but will that be enough. The Texans adding Diggs with 2 established WR in Nico Collins and the young Tank Dell looks dangerous. Chiefs with two deep threats whether they have a big season or not will allow Kelce to have an easier time compared to last year, Rashee Rice already great will benefit as well and Pacheco will finally have a chance to show what he can do. These two teams seem to stand out the most at this time and look to be scary by the end of the season if they stay healthy. Both of these teams' defenses should play a big part as well.
I can't believe that I've heard this question being asked so many times this offseason smh. it's the bengals and it's not debatable! DON'T OVERTHINK IT!😂 now, when it comes to the bills and ravens being a threat to the chiefs, I would say the bills are a bigger threat to the chiefs than the ravens from a quarterback perspective but the ravens are a bigger threat to the chiefs than the bills are when talking about an overall team perspective.
@@jmcdaniel0809 They've done it twice when it came down to Burrow not suffering with any injuries... what makes you think it'll be difficult for them now?
@@jmcdaniel0809 first off, what you said is off topic😂😂😂the topic is who is the biggest threat to the chiefs, not about who's the best in the afc north. secondly, bengals have done it 2 of the past 3 years.
@@jmcdaniel0809 bengals don't even have to win their division to still get in a playoff game and have sam hubbard run it back for a defensive score when all lamar had to get was a yard, choke artist
I hate when people say "Burrow is 3 - 1 against the Chiefs" ( Stephen A. ) NO ! Burrow is 3 - 0 against the Chiefs, 0 - 1 against the Chiefs AND the OFFICIALS !
@@lizethreyes8089 Naw Liz, you're the one who's sad ! We got screwed in the SB just like we got screwed in the AFC Championship game the following year ! I can't WAIT till we send the Chiefs asses home ! And yeah we got a "few wins"....3 of them against your "Boys"...actually FOUR if you count the one the Refs STOLE from us ! Go listen to your Taylor Swift albums....you can cry while listening to them come playoff time !
