I like using Yoshi and Tee down in the red zone together. It’s almost like having a two tight end set down in the red zone. It makes it hard on defenses to guard two 6’4” receivers down in the red zone. We have to get better on the O line in run blocking, using this wide zone run scheme just isn’t working out. We have maulers on the O line,so use them in man to man down hill power run blocking. Joe Mixon should be getting 5 to 6 yards a carry with how big this O line is. The offense needs to get things figured out during this bye week. The defense saved our ass in this game. The defense is really starting to come into form on the back end and up front as well. We just need to get our offense rolling and we will be just fine. Let’s get healthy during the bye week and come out full strength ready to go come week 8 in Santa Clara against the 49ers. We owe them an ass whooping!!
Zac just won’t stick with the run because it’s not flashy enough for him. He wants the big pass plays even if burrow is getting killed back there. Until his ego gets out of the way he just won’t stick with the run.
I agree we need to run it more. Especially run it more efficiently but just mo and your certainly have a right to yours, I don't think it's his ego honestly. Zacs very humble and high character guy. I think it's just In his nature. He was a quarterback himself in college and also was a quarterback coach. Also was a receivers coach too. I think it's just in his DNA. While I agree he's not a great playcaller but I also think he gets scapegoated alot if the offense isn't great in any game. This wasn't zacs best game to be honest and I'm a zac supporter and I defend him quite a bit but this is year 5 for him and he needs to keep getting better your get another oc. His pc isn't always bad but it is here and there and he needs to be better.
Two points- one the Defense is allowing these long drives. Two running into the Seahawks defense would have lost you the game. So many fans play fantasy football and don't realize that a Defensive victory counts just as much and an offensive victory.
Defense definitively won the game. Pronouncing Yosi’s name wrong. I believe it’s pronounced Yo-si-vosh. I went to pro shop and two guys had on his shirts. So I asked if they were friends and they were. Went to HS with him. Came from Hawaii. Then Yosi got his 1st TD. Cool!
Might be a little over critical. Y’all trash Taylor and play calling. I take issue with it. We all want better but come on! 16 years of Marvin and nothing. This guy knows better than all of us. Be critical of players if you like. Seattle scores 27 every week and had 1 TD. Who gives a crap about the yards when they can score on us. Defense doesn’t bail out shit. They also play on the team. Their job is to not let the other team score. And Cappa is one of the highest graded RG in the NFL this year. We all want them to score on every drive. Sometimes the other team is pretty good too. And sometimes teams don’t play so well.
Having 51 offensive plays and your defense on the field for 71 simply isn’t sustainable. That has been the trend in 4 of the 6 games we have played. Fortunately we did win one of those 4 game. It’s up to coaches to find solutions. That trend needs to stop
I get what you’re saying. And, in the aftermath, I get the disgust but you sounded like you were so disgusted with the team that they should all just quit. We all have crazy high expectations. Some of the podcasts for the Bengals sound more like they have shows for the opponent. Cincinnati sports media aren’t really rah for our team. It’s pretty disheartening. A defense can win. I’m confident the offense will come alive. I agree it needs creativity to make it happen. Tee is banged up. That hurts what Taylor likes to do. And when he wasn’t banged up he was dropping everything. I just hope for a little tiny bit of homer in a Bengals podcast
