Brilliant .Did that boat trip many years ago ,it was fantastic . Remember coming back and going for a massive plate of mussels and a bottle of wine on the beach when we got back to Benidorm . The following year or the year after we went to find the restaurant on the beach and it was gone . That would have been about almost 20 years ago . Keep up the good work . Hi Lucy.... I'll be frank as had a few beers while enjoying a great live band in a south London boozer with NO covid restrictions at all. ;-]. WOW, what a fabulous way to enjoy a trip to wonderful Calpe. I've climbed to the top of whatsitsname about 3 or 4 times OFF season and been bombarded by protective sea birds in nesting times. But what a fabulous adventure. ;-] Plus, I've eaten memorable seafood in Calpe at modest prices near the harbour. ;-] Keep cool this mega hot weekend. And thanks for reminding me of great times a decade or so ago. ;-] I wanna do it all again now. ;-]

Calpe was the first place in Spain I went on holiday to back in 1979 when I was 14. Went to the top of Penyal d'Ifac, we stayed in a hotel not far from the bottom of it on the other side to the port.Can't remember those nice footpaths being there back then,stunning views at the top,still got the pictures somewhere. Can also remember walking all the way along to what was referred to the old town for a fiesta and ended up getting caught up in a bull run down a hill,think it was the main street and having to jump up on some barriere or maybe high walls,scred the living daylights out of me. Loved it there and a revisit is most definitely in my plans,looks a lot different now for sure.
Loved this!! A real throwback to my early childhood of visiting Calpe with parents and brother and sisters, and I'm 60 now lol! I seem to remember salt everywhere at the foot of the rock, and obviously not so built up. Thanks for the free excursion Lucy, look forward to more of your trips out! Thanks very much, been Calpe many times by boat and train (had a menu del dia in Drakulas bar last year) and never knew one could climb the rock so easily. Will now be on my todo list. Also although I knew they exsisted will now visit the beaches on the other side. Once again thank you great video.

Hi Lucy, just watching the video on the Calle boat trip. We used to have an inflatable when our sons were teenagers and we often had a ride a far as frog island, though you didn’t call it that. It’s a great feeling on a boat to have the sea breeze in your hair. It doesn’t seem like we shall get to our apartment until possibly Christmas so might see you then. Cheers Audrey

Great video ! One of my favourite 🙂 Will have to put it on my to do list 🙂 I've only been on the boat trip to the Benidorm small island and nature reserve n went on the submarine around the island it was amazing, But saying that I was petrified at the same time as water scares me. I was pleased I did it though with my family 🙂

The poor dogs out on the pavement in that heat. I’d make the owners walk bare footed around the town to see how they could stand hot pavements. Please think of your animals!

LUCY -GREAT VIDEO BUT ... My sister is a food expert and the Calpe restaurants on the front give tasty samples which are DEAD FRESH to entice you in. BUT when your meal arrives the fish is about 1 day old - so there you are. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
