I disassembled once before some parts cold shut and reassembled and worked fine but now I believe your vid helped where I need now to break free the components and clean thoroughly for it to work again. Thanks. A decade later. -951-
Very Good, as far as it went. There is another o-ring on the top of the inner steel tube, and another inside the nut that has the little rubber ball in it, that were not exposed. There is also an orifice in the steel inner tube that was not exposed, that can become occluded by rust. The little o-ring can be replaced in fairly short order, by a practiced hand, so I'm just using hardware grade, and trying to not get in a hurry and keep the heat down. Bought a Hill Air Rifle Pump. Very Nice!
I made my filter, I used acrylic tubing and delrin, With a little help from the lathe. Inside is color change desiccant. It turn green when it is wet. Then you bake it to dry it back out. I have a thread in the Marauder air rifle forums on mods I have done to my pump to get more life out of it. Originally I got 30 fills or so, currently I am at about 50 fills and going strong! Good luck and have fun!
thanks for posting this.. i think this is the only videoclip that shows how to disassemble cleane and reassmble the benjamin pcp pump.. anyway what is the 3 tubes and the piston rod made of? i mean the materials used.. aluminum, steel or stainless steel?
Very very informative, great, useful & instructional video, please i have Silicon grease & Crosman Silicone Chamber, Can I use these for repair the pump? I mean for the main tube, o-rings & inside body? appreciate your help.
What kind of filter do you have, and where did you get it, or how did you build it? Thanks for the video. It has been very useful for me since these pumps blow o-ring #30 all the time.
what is the length of this pump in its down position?..just asking cause i want to get a travel case for the complete set up and need to know the min length.
Thanks for the video. I have done everything just like in the video. But my pump still does not work. When I reach about 50 bars I cannot possibly pull up my pump. It looks like it wants to blow out air when I pull up, not only when I push down. And I think it is only supposed to blow out air when it is pushed down.Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you for the help. And I think my pump has a steel ball in the inner cap instead of a rubber ball.
I cant post the url, but if you go to MarauderAirRifle com and go to the "Tanks and Pumps" section then look for a post called "Benjamin pump Owner Resource's" I have all sorts of links and info in there.
is the "white split backup ring" supposed to be split (mine has what I thought was a crack running through it, so I think it is broken) Thanks for the excellent and helpful video.
