I was smiling like an idiot 3 seconds into the groove. I realized at the end that I haven't played in almost a month and that is completely unacceptable. Masterful as always, Benny!!!!
Leaving aside the absolutely, facemelting, insane awesomeness that Benny put out in his performance...Can we talk about the set design and the cinemtography?!
I just love the fact that having forgotten his kick drum, he was able to re-purpose an ice cream can and still put on a great show :) Awesome stuff, thanks BG!
When I watch and listen to Benny Greb orchestrate his way around the kit ..I'm just amazed how many different sounds and patterns he creates as he weaves through time ...literally..and still maintains the main theme and feel to the solo..He goes down the wormhole pretty deep..but he emerges where he Begins ..mindblowing indeed..one of my fav drummers in the world ...

Insane...makes me want to quit drumming, but then inspires me to keep going at the same time. No matter how quirky the kit, he just makes everything look so easy...Hats off Benny. Then again - leave it on, it's become part of your image lol...
I'm 99% sure this was edited with wireless earbuds... Nevertheless, the audio mix is grand, the photography is moody and warm... And the playing, dear god the playing! Benny could make a deaf man dance
Love his drumming, his style, his technique, his groove, all of it. Benny, on the off-chance you read this - I know you play trumpet. Is that you playing on all of the trumpet tracks?
Benny is the effen man. Nobody plays those way over the bar line, weird triplet "whatevers" like him. Nobody. And the video is beautifully shot and colored too!
Kick Sounds "24" ish. Well rounded Set for the Room/recording/mixing conditions! As Always....reaching a new Plateau makes happy at First sight,- might be frustrating or motivating at a Second sight..... Since Benny Greb is a Master Mind in Drumming, obviously he found a balanced Way to Handle that♥️🍀
There's a slight delay after the cut at 0:05 which makes it tough to watch. The sound is brilliant, and the feel immaculate (as always), just the video and sound are slightly out of sync which makes it super tough to watch and listen. But if just listening its brilliant.
