What I love about him is he has and always will be such a great vocalist, because he wasn’t thrown into music as an afterthought like a lot of already famous people are. He started with an amazing voice and that doesn’t fade away.

He didn't really think of himself as a musician or thought he could sing. But here, we see his innate talent with lyrics, melody, and musicality. He has the looks, the personality, and the stage presence. Everyone is a-ga-ga over him. These two songs are amazingly written. Beautiful Things is a masterpiece. He's talented. Enjoy the ride, Benson. American Idol gave him the confidence just to go for it. All you need is for someone to believe in you, and to hear it, and then to believe in yourself.
