I got absolute a week ago. Both are so different and so good that I can't decide which I like more. Absolute is lighter so it can be used in more situations but it lasts very little. Bentley intense lasts forever and is darker and more boozy.
The Intro was a CLASSIC and I was completely lost but enjoyed it. Died laughing with the you had no clue part. Happy you kept it and bought the Bentley absolute
I have the Intense version and while it not be for everyone I absolutely adore it!. It is strong and to my nose you end up with a beautiful oriental, incense dry down. Possibly my favorite fragrance atm!
Great summary, thanks for the insight and education MrS!! Agree, Bentley Intense is a fragrance which is not versatile but nice nonetheless. PS. Love your sense of humour 👍
I am 45 years old and I thank you Sir for introducing me to Bentley for Men Intense! I am in love with this scent. I find it to be warm and somehow creamy. It’s complex but smooth, that’s it, very smooth and boozy! A nice mellow rum and vanilla. My daughters who are 11 and 9 love the scent on me. My wife says it’s warm and manly on me. For a mature, successful, very confident alpha male type of man. Not for kids. Younger men in their 20’s with an “old soul” mature personality rocking business like suits can use this. I am grateful for your review of this fragrance!!
wanna order absolute because i got to give intense to my friend, my boss and collegues at work didn´t like it at all (overly sweet rum) .... i like oud middle eastern niché quality ... is that good to buy absolute? how does it project?
I have and like both. I wear the intense to please others, and I wear the absolute to please myself. The absolute reminds me of (smells exactly like) a wood shop I got shaving from when I was a kid. Great fragrances.
Hi there! I just found out about Bentley Beyond Collection Musk, Cashmere and Vetiver would you be able to post a review on them? I would love to see what you have to say about them since there’s no reviews on them yet, as far as I know. Thank you so much
I just got BFMI, and it rushes straight to the base on my skin. Under an hour after spraying, it’s all cedar, incense, and leather. SO MUCH CEDAR. I might give spraying it on my shirt a go in an attempt to hold on to the opening a bit. I don’t get any post-opening sweetness until it’s time to re-spray. I wish it were sweeter for me.
Very random but I have a very similar hair line to you and currently I just shave mine (during covid). What do you ask the Barber for when getting hair cut?
great review mate, I am tempted to buy the Bentley for man absolute? thanks for sharing. I am a new subscriber from UK? enjoining your video & keep it coming
My Bentley Intense Eud De Parfum arrived yesterday and its absolute=ly beautiful, such an expensive smelling long lasting frag of leather, rum, tobacco and other deeply enchanting spices. It has easily landed on my top shelf as one of the best and one to own. Now...what about the Absolute? Maybe...maybe not...so undecided here whether to add it to the collection. 🤔✨ Dammit I have so many frags already..how many can a man have? 😜
Can't find anyone to compare Bentley Absolute against Le Labo Santal 33 (when 1st can out "hamster cage"). Note: never smelled Bentley nor Santal 33. I have Gucci ph i and hate it in the winter (peppered vanilla) just like I hate TF Oud Wood in the winter. Anyways, what's different between Santal 33 and Bentley, besides pickles/incense differences, are they both cedar shavings hamster/pencil to novice noses?
please help me to decide if I should blind buy Bentley for Men Absolute and Lalique Encre Noir A Lextreme :D I am really confused about vetivers, and this pencil shaving smell, but I'm also really curious about this two. So I'm confused because I absolutely love Versace Dreamer which supposed to be based on vetiver... however Grey Vetiver and Terre de Hermes smells like celery leaves to me, and I really don't like that note... I found that geranium also smells like celery, so I avoid that note.... so anyway... will I like Bentley for Men Absolute and Lalique Encre Noir A Lextreme? :D thanks
Going to test Absolute based on this review so thanks. Not considered it so far because I also agree that my Intense, which I thoroughly enjoy, is limited in where it's appropriate to wear. Not as versatile as some. Having said that, half of the buggers in Walsall Town centre don't know what regular application of soap and hot water is so I have been known to wear it just to scut around the shops in jeans.
Lovely in depth descriptions Dan. Absolu is definitely my number 1 number 3 in the Bentley PH line of 3, ahead of Bentley, which is number 1 but not number 1. Intense has to be number 2, but doesn't smell like Gucci number 1. That's Absolu. Number 1, number 2 flanker of 3. Maybe 4. 100%.
@@Sir_P/videos It has a somewhat heavy cedar scent and a musky frankincense note. I like it but that's because I like heavy and unique fragrances, but I wouldn't say it's the mass-appealing variety. It's certainly better than many generic ones out there, but it may not very versatile due to it's dark characteristics. I haven't tried Bentley for Men or Bentley Intense, but I would probably go for either of those instead based on the positive reviews (Joy Amin did a review of the 10 underrated Designer Fragrances very recently - Bentley Men is said to be the most versatile of the two).
Lol!!!! Absolutely intensely lutley 😳 you got it...? I did!!! Anylutley ways I watched the entire review which is more than I can say for many review!!! Big up!!!
Both great for wearing in a smoky old bar (If they allowed them anymore) Lots of leather and booze and suitable for 40 plus only. It's definitely in your face on opening and still great 4 hours later. It's a bit too sweet for me though as I'm old school.
Funny! Trying to make sense of the nomenclature aside, in this case, Intense is much more complex than Absolute. I own a bottle of I and a sample of A and A does smell very close to Gucci Pour Homme (I) in the drydown, and that really is it's glory. It's taken 2 years for Intense to really grow on me, but I finally get it. The vanilla, the incense, the bay leaf, it's really wonderful and the drydown lasts for ages on clothing.
Michel Almairac was the perfumer for Absolute. Nathalie Lorson did Intense. While I love them both, I rarely find a reason or an occasion to wear Bentley Intense. Some say it's mainly for winter, but I just can't seem to find the right scenario for it. Maybe dressed up, or a special occasion.
I’m on a similar boat. I like to smell it, but I don’t want to smell like it. The scent is enjoyable and you can really tell how deep and complex it is. I guess it’s all about the experience for me.
Thanks. I purchased the intense before I purchased it online. Then, I checked your video and cancelled the order right away in time. Thanks again. By the way, the tie is nice.
I love the dry british humor in your videos. You always bring a smile to my face with your videos. Unfortunately none of those fragrances does the same. I just cant stand the overwhelming rum in Bentley Intense, but it's really interresting to see your take on it. Great video.
The Bentley Intense has a great smell....Yes it will be strong if you spray two or three generous sprays .......But if you go light on the trigger...you can balance it very well and you will get compliments. Bentley Intense was made to be worn and not stowed away in the scared to wear box. The perfumer was confident of this when she blended the juice It works very well with smart casual ....as well as a suit.....The opening maybe "in your face.....but the dry down is not ( unless of course you over spray).
I might be alone on this one. I love the scent and I love smelling it, but I don’t want to smell like it. I enjoy the whole experience due to its quality and complexity.
#SmellyArmy... Love it, and hilarious opening Intense vs Absolute. Next on the list, Mr. Smelly absolutely devastates a fragrance box, maybe some gnawing on the box and burning it with a blowtorch?
I have both and the 2 fragrances are completely different. Encre noire is more wearable than Bentley Intense. By more wearable I mean more versatile. Mr Smelly gave an excellent description of how and when you can wear Bentley Intense and I 200% agree. I own the 3 Encre noire and I would recommend the Original.
The first 60 seconds was cmic genius....Absolutely...LOL However you recovered you shared some excellent information. I'll think I will go with batchelorette No 1. Thank you for your production!
I agree with another comment. You just use less juice. Tone it down. No need to go crazy on the sprays with a powerful scent. The fragrance either smells nice or it doesn't. Hard to understand some of the reasons given by Fragrance hoarders to not use a scent. Oh well. I've got a bottle of Intense on the way and I'm sure I'll Absolutely use it whenever I want. Stay strong!
