Simon very nice pen, reminded me of agate. I always get in a right state when Inking my pens and I’m careful. Thank you for sharing this enthusiasm with us. Better than watching tele. Looking forward to the Vodka on the Rocks!
It may be that ordering from different dealers or locations determines what comes in the box. I have a number of BENU pens and they've always come with both a converter and one long ink cartridge but I've never received a little pen stand as shown in your video. For your next BENU pen you may want to consider one of the models with glow in the dark ends, it just adds to the fun.
Haha Simon!! 😆 I can completely relate to your passion for fountain pens!! I wrote with a Lamy for years and earlier this year decided to get myself a new fountain pen. It sent me down a rabbit hole and made me want to buy ALL THE PENS 🤣 Ended up with a TWSBI Vac Mini and a copper + resin one by Ystudio 👌 This Benu looks sooo beautiful - thanks for sharing!! 🤩
Simon No! I am not going to start collecting pens now!!! I might though. Confession: these fine pen videos I really like an awful lot, but I kind of use them as ASMR type things to cope with mundane workday stuff. But man that arctic blue really had me thinking about getting into journaling. I just wish I could start collecting cash instead of hobbies LoL!!!
Thank you for these posts Simon. Having always been commented on for my neat handwriting ever since junior school I've always thought you can't beat a fountain pen. Watching these posts has rekindled my interest, and I have this week splashed out on 3 new fountain pens by Nahvalur (new name for Narhwal pens) to use for my OBOD studies. I must admit I love them. A good weight in the hand and beautifully made. Do you have any? If not I can recommend. Thanks again for proving in this technological world that pen and parchment are (in my eyes) king.
Bourbon is on my list.. It's beautiful-- BTW welcome to the #6 nib world, where you can exchange nibs very well. Also, Cult pens is a great resource. I order from them even though I am from the US. They are a great company.

I love the little pen stand. I stan the stand! I have a new monitor, this is the first time I've really gone fullscreen to blow something way up and.... that Bourbon pen is almost mesmerizing. It's a beautiful piece of work. It's bling - no doubt about it - in that color palette it's maybe understated bling? lol Not really , it's just gorgeous. Tell the truth, Simon, did you buy the pen to match the ink? Confess!
