I know this is an old video talking about the 92X. One very important aspect of the Beretta 92X. It's a beautiful gun! Having a fast car is great but having a fast car that looks fantastic is even better. My two cents.
Ok Kyle, I took the plunge today. Waiting on my LTT slide milling back from Langdon. But...bought the the Performance today. Want to compete so..here we go. You're openess about the Beretta has me doubling-up with Beretta. Ready to be reacquainted with them after shooting the Marine Corps issue decades ago. Thanks man!
The 92x Performance is to the all other Beretta 92s what the CZ Shadow is to all other CZ 75 variants. They're not designed for defensive use, but are tuned to go fast for competition. The sights are an indication that the gun is designed for practical shooting: the fiber optic front (which sport shooters replace regularly for max brightness) / black out rear is the default sights set-up of non-optic practical shooting guns because front sight focus is a must for taking down plates at speed. The safety is another indicator that the gun is designed for competitive shooting: production division shooters hammer down manually at the start so a decocker is useless; besides, a decocker mechanism is detrimental to a crisp, short, and light trigger pull. The muzzle is target crowned to help shooters put 2 shots (esentially, a group) in the A-zone at distance. Just like the Shadow 2, the 92x Performance is steel-framed and heavy to soak up recoil for fast follow-up shots (up to 9 shots per port against the clock in IPSC) and the barrel is just under the 127mm IPSC production division barrel length limit. Lastly, the 92x Performance comes with the Xtreme-S trigger which by Beretta's own disclaimer is for sports use only. It's like the Type R of Honda Civics, or the Modificata variant of the Ferrari 488. They're not daily drivers, but track day toys. #factoryracer #raceversion
Will you make a 92X Performance vs LTT model video? I know others have already done it but I love how you review and compare guns. Would love your take on it.
Glad I find this video, great job! I am planning to get Beretta, now not sure which one , lol. 92X Fulll size sounds like smarter, more economical choice, but man, I love the 92X Performance looks and feel. I have 2 more day to decide...
I shot 124 grain and 147 grain for my 92x performance and definitely 147 grain had a whole lot less recoil and made it easy to keep it the gun shooting flat. Also I updated mine with better grips from Toni systems and added a better match hammer that give you a shorter trigger pull by 2mm!
As a 1911 shooter, who also owns an old 92 (no letter) with the safety where it is like the performance, along with a 92SB and M9, have shot a performance, and it is on the list of things I'll be buying. The biggest difference between the performance for me and the other 92's I have shot is the trigger. It's not a 1911 trigger, but better than any other 92 I've shot.
Wow I watched both your comparison videos and now I'm even more lost lol I was looking at the new LTT RDO to get set up for USPSA but I'm not sure I'll enjoy the s curve grips I have medium/small hands for a male so I was wondering if it's worth waiting to get my hands on the 92x and have LTT cut it for an RDO I feel like looking at them the 92x performance has a farther trigger reach as well any advice?
It has more felt recoil I think due the fact that it is rearward recoil rather than muzzle flip. I own the perf and I think your video is fairly good description of it. I bought it mainly because the safety was different.
I waited 14 months for my Performance to arrive here in Australia. I need to shoot out to 50 meters so needed a red dot mount,. Found one at Toni Systems code OPXB92XA Type A which suits up to 8 different red dots. I use a delta Point Pro. They have a type B also that suits another variety of red dots. I think the wait was worth it. Yes it is a heavy platform, but has a short reset. with the new Extreme-S trigger. I found trying to find a red dot mount difficult and ended up paying a small fortune to get one in from Italy. I have a spare red dot mount of the same type I would be happy to let go to someone who has a performance if they can't find one and at what I paid for it plus postage to wherever you are, preferably Oz. It's Black Anodised Aluminium from what I can tell. Dovetail is CNC'd to fit the LPA slot on the Performance. Getting the rear LPA sigh of is hard without the right tools. Beretta press fit all their sights according to Beretta, so if you don't the right sight pusher you may need to have a a smith install it. I rang Beretta and they confirmed sights goes out from right to left and in from left to right both front and rear. Well that's what I am advised. Currently the Performance goes for approx $2500 in Australia. Cheers
Can I ask a question? You may be able to tell me. Are the mag base plates the same between the two? I'm wanting extended mag base plates for my 92x centurion and all I can find for decent ones are for the performance.
Ciao, complimenti! Grazie!
My standard 92X came with serrations on the front and rear of the slide. Also came with spots to affix dot sights. Not sure what the difference is but it’s the one without the de-cocker safety and just the de-cocker. I bought it new so it wasn’t modified before I bought it.
After using my CZ TS2 for the last few weeks, my standard Beretta 92fs feels so light! I think the TS2 weighs even more than the Beretta 92X Performance.
Question my new out of box 92x barrel finish is flaking off after shooting the first time yesterday. Never had that happen ever on any pistol. Are you experiencing similar flaking . And is this normal on the 92 new series. I have my old 92 service pistol thousand rounds run through it normal wear , barrel finish 75% no flaking . Thanks K
Just found your channel and I’m enjoying the beretta content. Have a bizarre question: I’m a competitive shooter and like you need aggressive grip texturing. The 92X grips...can that plastic grip be stippled further like you would a polymer pistol or is the material way different. Obviously I haven’t held the 92x so I’m uncertain.. Thanks
I very foolishly traded my CZ Shadow 2 for a Beretta 92FS Brigadier. Here in Australia you can't 'try out' guns or rent them, so you take your chances. I wanted something lighter than the CZ. Big mistake! I have now traded the 92FS for the 92 X Performance (because I still own 6 Beretta compatible magazines). I've yet to try it out, but am hoping for the best. Last thing... If you think guns are expensive in Canada.... The Beretta here costs around $3,500- $4,000! Thanks for a great video. Interesting!
Thank you for your help I'm right in the middle of what your talking about (witch one) and yes the price is making it tougher for me But I don't shot competitively but I do expect reliability, good trigger and accurate.
Great video. Give me the 92x all day, then again I don't do competition. I'm a CZ guy through and through. But I have to admit, my 4 CZ's get a little jealous when the Centurion comes out.
I don't mind using my left hand to drop the slide on my CZ Shadow 2 and TS2. It's just the trade-off you make to have the extended safety for resting your right thumb.
Come on Beretta, why is the rear sight dipping down to the left. I see it on my gun and so many other guns in videos. I closely looked over three gun in a shops display case and they all had the cockeyed rear sight.
planning to invest in a second Beretta 92. going back and forth between which. I know the standard line is that all modern 92 mag with work in all 92's. but does that include the x series, centurion and compact varieties. can't really find a strait answer on this. point is, I have large number of 92 mags for my full size FS, is there any of the modern Beretta 92 that will not accept them?
Hello, a question I have a Beretta 92X, it is about the accuracy and it has to do with ..regarding the asymmetrical fit between the barrel and slide.... this could be solved if the barrel is changed for an Extended Threaded Barrel, 9MM, thanks for your time..Abel
In the range I happened, I shot and it deviated a little to the left, when I aimed to the center, the range officer told me about the finger, but now seeing the review on the manufacture of the slide and the barrel that is not centered, well, in my Beretta M9A3 that doesn't happen..thanks anyway and thanks for making good programs..Abel@@vkyle91x
I just bought this gun and didn’t notice until after I got home and had it for a day. There is like an etching down the Gun barrel. Not sure if this will be an issue I don’t think there’s a way to put a pic of it on here for you to see
I own several pistols. One brand I’ve never owned is a Beretta. A few days ago was at my LGR and had a chance to test fire one. I can now say I am very impressed. Beretta just might be my next pistol purchase. If we were not limited to10 round mags. Loaded with a normal mag (17 rounder) the rear area would increase in weight thus, the pistols balance might possibly improve. Finally, In your opinion what Beretta model would you recommend?
@@vkyle91x thanks Bro. Would you say the LTT is worth the upgrade if a person already has a Beretta M9A1 and let’s say they don’t make a lot of money? Is it that big a deal compared?
What's your opinion, on the new gun rules in canada? Example of question being; even more guns being illegal in canada that were once legal. Shotguns with large bores 20mm or above are illegal. Then there's talk of them trying to rid of semi automatic pistols from Canadians...
Wow just wow. $2000. Yea I have to be one of those comments. It's an $1100 gun. Markup, Delivery, and international taxes don't equate to double the price
@@maddog8148 I don’t think as a new shooter I would push you towards it. It’s mainly designed for competitive shooters but that being said it’s your money so you spoil yourself should you feel the need
@@vkyle91x my father in law has the Beretta 92 A1. I shot it and I like it a lot. I just like the heavy weight of it on control. I am in the market for two guns. One gun as a pure security for my home and the other as like to cherish if that makes sense. So that’s why I’m looking at the 92x performance. It’s just a really beautiful gun. Your thoughts?
You definitely can. I carry one everyday. I don’t know how big you are but my size at 6’3” 270 it’s a bit easier. Really it just comes down to you personally. I have found I like to carry full size guns. But remember there are also compact versions of the 92’s. If you’re smaller that might be the way to go
Room 237 TheNewGunGuy dang both of you are huge. I’m 6’0 and 200lbs. I don’t like compacted guns personally I rather the big all metal guns it’s more awesome lol. I’m also having a hard time finding a IWB holster for this gun
@@briangonzales4573 315-404-7578. I found him through you tube. Holster pro if you want to look him up. I asked about a iwb for my new 92x. Because it has a rail so my other 92 holsters don’t work for it. I called him he seemed like a good guy and is custom making me one. $50 delivered. All leather. Hope this helps you
