I purchased the A300 patrol also. I went with the GG&G bbl clamp and magazine cover also. Changed out the rear ghost ring for a metal adjustable ghost ring. I put a limbsaver buttpad on also, made a big diff when shooting slugs. Love the shotgun.
I've had mine for 6 months. Great shotty. I also purchased the 1301 tactical and I can say it does shoot slightly softer. Not $600 worth softer but softer. I'm waiting for Mesa Tactical to come out with their urbino stock for the A300.
Thanks for watching! YES I agree with everything you said, and have you noticed how great that trigger is? What I don't like about my Benelli M4 is that the safety is behind the trigger group (I had to install a larger safety button because the stock one hurt my fingers after a couple of manipulations). I love the front cross-bolt safety on the A300; it's super crisp, and easily manipulated with my trigger finger. The trigger on my A300 has very little take-up, is smooth, and breaks with little effort. It feels like a PRS rifle trigger, not a shotgun trigger!
HEY!! Don't throw away the box until you search it! I said in the video I didn't have a velcro piece, then when I was breaking down the box for recycling, I found it in the bottom of the box--so double check there!
How are you doing? I just picked up The A 300 ultimate patrol same one I have no idea why mine did not come with a choke or a removable, choke same exact shotgun. Can you help me with that?
Nice overview! Trying to decide between the A300UP and the Mossberg 940PT. Similar price but with some differences. Some say the 940PT is closer to the 1301. By the way, the newer 1301 Tactical Mod.2 has upgrades from the A300 like the loading port and forend.
I just picked one of these up and my only out of the box complaint is it not coming with an actual user manual. Drives me insane. Like look, if it was a TV or a blender, sure. Give me an online manual. But for a firearm? It’s almost irresponsible of the manufacturer, who’s gonna scan a code and go online to read a user manual? Nobody. That’s who.
Thanks for watching--and you won't get any argument from me--I agree with you 100%!! Even though I do download the pdf versions from the firearms manufacturer's website, I still want and need a regular manual that I can keep with the gun in the case!
I purchased an A300 patrol last fall from a local gun store. When I got it home and opened the box I found that the velcro piece was not included and my barrel is not tapped for screw in choke tubes. Beratta's website specifies that it uses Beretta mobil choke tubes. I am unaware of different models of the A300 patrol with less features. I have emailed Beretta asking about this 3 times with no response. Has anyone else ran into this? This is my 3rd Beretta shotgun and will likely be my last. Thanks for the video. I look forward to seeing what upgrades you do.
Wow, I'm so sorry that has happened to you! I don't understand how they missed threading the barrel for a choke tube--that's some really bad quality control. Also, double check the box and packaging by completely dismantling it and double check in the ziplock bag that has the stock extensions and other accessories since the velcro could be in there. Let us know if you get these problems fixed.
Only thing I don't like is the 1/4 inch rubber pad it comes with. I can shoot my 590A1 all day and not get beat up, but this gun beat me up after 150 rounds. mix of high powered birdshot, buck, and slugs.

Ordered one and had it sent to my local FFL. I was very disappointed to see the gun in a plain, crappy cardboard box and plastic bag. For the price it should have came in a plastic case. First and last Beretta. 😢😢😢
I've got several Apache cases I bought on sale from Harbor freight for less than a hundred...pull the little foam squares out .tuck your A300 in .room for an edc and ammo too...btw my Remington TAC14 came in a cardboard box .so did my sig ar..and my armalite...
You’re buying a shotgun. The box is for transportation if you want to go to Carrie case go out and pick one it’s your choice. Yes, it’s a cardboard box. That’s what they come in.
