The bergara I seen in action shot a cloverleaf at 100. Four different ammunition and at four different weights all sub moa. It really loved that HSM 162 berger
That is a sweet looking deer rifle sweet looking Rifle period that camo pattern rocks on that rifle I'm trying to find me a good deer rifle so when my grandkids get old enuff they can go hunting with Popaw 😊👍 great video Mike I appreciate it you have helped me pick out a couple of firearms so far and they've been excellent I hope you have a great weekend and I hope you bag a big old buck 😊👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Happy to hear that David! Thanks for watching as always and we appreciate your support! It’s an excellent rifle and good luck to you this deer season as well!! 💪💪💪
For not much more I went with the Redline. Springfield Armory, in 308. Why it's lighter and you shot better groups with it. And I've had a bergara , trigger just not that great. And heavy side for money. Wish Springfield would make redline in 7mm-08.
In all actuality, the weight isn’t a deal breaker for me. I have carried a much heavier weapon for longer distances when I was younger in my career, so 10 is actually a God send haha. I do agree with oz = lbs over the course of a (mileage) hike and hunt, but I don’t plan on walking 35+ miles in a day to find an animal….yet lol
I'm looking at this in 7mm PRC - the groups look pretty big on paper - were you shooting at 200 yards? None of them look like 1/2 MOA. It sure is a good looking gun.
What was your time between strings? Did you by chance feel the barrel or assume temperature of the barrel may have caused increased dispersion? Great rifle great review, can’t wait to buy this or the Divide 😊
Hey again a nice video what is you impression of the carbon one because i am trying to get one, has it the same precision as the normal wilderness because of the 2 inch shorter barrel , because on the groups you shot i didnt really saw a diffrence in both videos
Got an HMR in 300prc and 308 . Ridge in 300prc and Approach in 6.5 as my light hunting rifles. But I really like this new HMR carbon and am debating if I should sell my HMR 308 to upgrade to an HMR carbon in 308. It's an original release and has shot lights out since day 1, I just dk
I have been contemplating selling all my different rifles of various calibers, for one go to rifle. I have also been thinking seriously about the Bergara. I am concerned with the videos I have watched lately about some accuracy issues. It seems they are not consistent in the accuracy area. And some are completely horrible, with 100 yard groups around 3 inches. Any suggestions?
I wouldn’t be concerned about the accuracy one bit. We have shot and I have seen 10 different rifles personally all bought off the shelf which shot well. They can be ammo picky but generally speaking they all shoot Hornady and Federal well!
Great! Use what you have then! You get a lot more with this rifle in features, hence the price. In addition, I’m sure there could be other ammo that may be more accurate. This was suitable for us!
That’s going to be dependent on the caliber choice. I would also not pair the redline vs the carbon wilderness and more the waypoint vs it. If you are looking at 6.5 Creedmoor and 308, then I would pick the waypoint over the Bergara. I have found they are more accurate, have smoother actions, better triggers and it will be lighter. Now if you want a long action, you will need a Bergara as Springfield doesn’t make any in long actions yet. The Bergara is a great rifle and will cost you about 800 bucks less, whether or not it’s worth 800 more, I think that’s up to the individual’s budget. You can’t go wrong with the Bergara either, it’s just not as refined.
im looking at a bergara b14 hmr 6.5 creedmoor and using it for long range shooting but also want hunting rifle but i like the weight. i had a ruger american in 6.5 Creedmoor sold it
@@HuntFishShootChannel Thanks...I was just curious because Beretta/Benelli is so huge! Have you encountered any problems with the bolt handle coming too close to your scope due to the 90-degree throw? Overall, would you place the Bergara over a similar Tikka or Franchi?
@markn4526 quality wise it’s definitely on par with those. For the money, tikka rifles are nearly unbeatable but they don’t make any carbon rifles. In regards to the throw, you won’t have any issues!
@markn4526 with a Meopta, leupold and vortex I haven’t seen any issues. I use medium or low rings depending on the scope. .9” height minimum and no issues
Hmmmm, Waypoint 2020 but if you want a long action you will have to get the Bergara. The Springfield is just a nicer rifle. Better trigger, stock, action and I have found it to be more accurate. The scope I use is a Vortex Razor HD LHT 4.5-22x50 MOA and an Atlas’s B12 bipod
Same here. My only experience with Bergara wasn't great. It seemed real picky with ammo and the bolt hung up on me while hunting. I went back to Tikka and never looked back.
