Bergen Equestrian Center at Overpeck County Park in Leonia is a horse lover's haven in North Jersey. Home to hundreds of horses, the center also provides two arenas for practice riding, as well as an equine support service, A Stable Life, for people of all ages in need. Anna Gassib is the founder of A Stable Life and the Operator of the center and she's got lots of information, stories and thoughts about these beautiful creatures to share.

I used to take lessons here and it was the best decision I have ever made. 💗

They doesn't seem to offer anything for an experienced rider....seems they really only service those seeking LESSONS or those seeking to board their horse. You can't just go there for a pleasant trail ride. They don't even want you to stand and watch the horses in the indoor arena. I've been there several times, I'm an experienced rider who doesn't own a horse, so this place has very little me.

You can't just go there and "hang out and watch horses". Women "equestrians" from every angle, start yelling at you: ...."you can't stand there!!...get away from the doorway!!!... Go to the office!!! ....I can't answer any questions!... Go to the office!!!") (If I'm not looking to pay $1,600 a month the board my own personal horse OR not interested in DRESSAGE lessons, WHY should I go to the office?)
